I decided I would have one of my favorite comfort foods for dinner tonight (but done a little healthier) Chili-Mac. Its all fine and good if I can keep the portion to 1 cup not two.... but I am having a hard time because the old me used to eat it until I was stuft and still wanted more.

I've eaten my cup... but the rest is calling my name.... I'm not stuft... am I satisfied (shrug). Ugh! This new lifestyle is difficult sometimes.

Try to eat a salad with your meals...portions is very hard but I try to add in extra veggies to help me not overeat...We made chicken chili a few weeks ago it took soo much in me not to eat the pot lol...so I filled up on veggies and had ice water.
  • Portion control is my weakness, I feel your pain. Sometimes it gets to me and I over do it, everyday is tough. You can do it!!!!

Salad with light dressing and lots of water with every meal helps me alot.

Grab some fruit if you feel the need, then tomorrow you will wake up feeling better and can have some for lunch
  • hurry up and stick the leftovers in the fridge or freezer! I am exactly the same... I'm a former member of the clean plate club... and I couldn't stand to let food become "leftovers!" I would eat until I had to pop open my pants button sometimes! I find now, that if I put away the rest BEFORE I take the first bite and have a low cal, healthy back-up for if I'm still hungry, I survive. And I look forward to eating the leftovers the next day!

    Good Luck! :flowerforyou:

Yeah... I did that too.. but now he has the same problem as me and he's trying to retrain himself, too! LOL. He doesn't like the "spare tire" we've created together!
