After looking at the price of ACV online I remember my grandmother use to make her own. Sadly she isn't with us any longer. So I can't just call her up and ask. Looked up some recipes and methods and it looks like it is something I can do. I'm doing Keto WOE and wondering whether sugar or honey is better or worse? Grandparents had apple trees and kept bee's so I'm going to assume she used honey. Thank You

Actually taking 2 Tbsp nightly for leg pain, so far it helps.

I hope you rinse your mouth really well after. It can be extremely damaging to your teeth.

I didn't know you could make your own. I looked it up on the internet out of curiosity. The site I read said if this is your first time, start with organic cane sugar. Something about minimizing your chances of anything small going wrong, which you would know how to correct if you were experienced, but may not if it is your first time. @wildrosedragon
Out of curiosity, I also looked up the acidity. I thought it was about the same as Coke and battery acid. I was surprised to learn that while Coke is a constant acidity, ACV varies widely, but is less acid than Coke. I didn't look up battery acid, but this explains why it's suggested to clean car battery cable connectors with Coke, not vinegar. It's stronger.

I bought the book Wild Fermentation and plan to try some of the recipes in that. It has vinegar recipes although since I'm happy with the vinegars I have I'm starting with sauerkraut and other fermented veg.

I'm not sure what OP's reason for it is (I like vinegars for taste), but there's nothing particularly special about ACV, and you can make a variety of different kinds of vinegars.

No real opinion on sugar vs. honey, although I plan to use sugar. For keto purposes can't imagine it would matter.
