Well seeing as I have lost 4.5 pounds since December 29th- that would more so put me at 1 pound loss per week with minimal gym time. Don't worry, I will reach my goal. And I will reach it easily, at that. Thanks though5

You say the dress fits now due to it being corsetted
Are they planning to have you stand on the scales before you say I do?
If not then does the number on the scales matter?
Eat well, lift heavy and relax when you can

Definitely not- but it is a goal that I WILL achieve before my wedding day. Regardless of the nay saying. Thank you though. I will enjoy it13

I would like to remind you in these 1 months you likely also have a shower,bachelorette party, other family events that are thinks you want to relax and eat and drink at.
Aim for a small deficit and some good fun workouts but remember it is all just a day what matters is the lifetime you are starting and healthy for that lifetime is more important.6 -

Nicole - I'm also sorry that many of the people here are definitely coming off a little judgmental. Your goal is totally doable (it is basically a pound a week for a short period of time!) and I GET IT. When I got married I knew when I looked my best and I wanted to get down to that too! (That was 17 years ago btw.)
I am 5'8" also and was 167 at the beginning of January. MUCH higher than my "normal" weight as I let myself go over the fall and holidays. I have lost 12 pounds in January and am not starving myself. I tend to lose easily because my body knows it does not belong at this weight. I eat 1400 calories a day and do about 45 min of cardio daily. I will add strength training next month and of course my weight loss will slow down as I get smaller. I hit my macros and am not hungry or weak. I will up my calories slowly but wanted to see quick progress to motivate me - and I did just that and feel healthier than I have in a long time. You look gorgeous but I get why you want to be smaller. At 167 I was considered overweight and felt uncomfortable because *I know my body*.
So good luck to you. If you don't lose another pound you already look great and will have a great wedding but I wish you the best as you try to lose those last few!!!

I really don't understand why people being concerned that you will push yourself too hard and not really enjoy the experience of your wedding and the celebrations leading up to it are being called "naysayers" and "judgemental". People were expressing care and concern.
Best of luck and congrats. I just hate to see people trying to help called names because they see things differently than you and hoped you could benefit from their viewpoint and experience.19 -
Names? Saying some people are "coming off" a little judgmental certainly isn't calling anyone names. Clearly some people are coming off that way, as evidenced by several people's reaction to responses, including the poster's.
Her goals are not unrealistic, unobtainable or unhealthy. It's her wedding for god's sake and if she isn't stressed and can reach her goal and feel her best then what is wrong with that!? She seems like she has a great head on her shoulders and isn't obsessing!15 -
Wow what a breath of fresh air. Thank you @jennifer3998 . I really appreciate your input and open mindedness! There have been a lot of positive, supportive people on my post and I have taken ALOT away from those people. I understand that everyone has a different perspective and point of view, but quite frankly I have already made up my mind that I plan to lose weight and will indeed follow through with that. So having people comment telling me it's unrealistic, unobtainable, or unhealthy really wasn't what I was asking for in the first place. No disrespect to anybody. I find it's a common trend on the message boards though- but it is definitely encouraging and uplifting when people such as yourself have great input. So thank you for that! I totally can relate about knowing your body and knowing that it isn't suppose to be at that weight. Sounds like we have a very similar story- and also sounds like you have a great lifestyle and awareness of your health and body. Keep it up! Your post has inspired me.21

To the part of what to eat and feel satisfied. I would suggest veggies. I know that is probably to simple but I eat raw veggies at lunch with hummus and cooked veggies and protein at dinner. For me I enjoy eating, I eat tons of vegetables so I get tired of chewing and feel full. I also like yogurt and cottage cheese- sweet, creamy, and protein. I haven’t given up carbs, but get most of mine are from vegetables instead of grains. I also cut out most added sugar especially from drinks.

I help many people lose weight in general and also for fitness and BB comps,
This is is my advice, and for what it's worth, you'll look beautiful on your special day no matter what!
A simple 500 calories deficit is enough for good weight loss.
The key to any diet is knowing exactly how many calories you need on a daily basis, and just eating under that number).
First you need to workout how many calories your body needs in a day (Total daily energy expenditure).
Weigh yourself first thing in the morning.
Input your data in this website www.tdeecalculator.net
Choose whichever activity level is closest to yourself.
Then click the cutting calories button (under the macronutrients heading), this will give you your starting calories, and what you need to stick to on a daily basis.
Try to get as close as possible to your cutting calories every day, a little over or under is fine but no more than say 20 - 30 calories either way.
Foods to eat:
Absolutely anything you want, Just weigh and track everything you eat and drink inc milk in tea & coffee etc. (don't add calories back in when you've exercised, MFP will ask if you want to do this).
Check your TDEE on a weekly or daily basis, because it obviously drops as your weight comes down, and adjust calories accordingly in Myfitnesspal.
If you want quicker weight loss you can obviously add in cardio and or resistance exercises, not only will this help build muscle but it will also create a bigger calorie deficit.
If you were to do this I would recommend just a 30 min incline walk on the treadmill or walk outside at a steady state.
Drink plenty water, at least 2-2.5 ltrs a day.
And that's it, just carry on until you are at the weight you want to be.
