What do you eat now? What do you like? You may have more luck adapting from that than trying to change up everything at once.

Most every day, I have a Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwich for breakfast, 2 packets of oatmeal for lunch, a Lean Cuisine and whole bag of steam-in-bag veggies for dinner, and a protein bar for late-night snack. I also drink hot tea between eating times to keep my mouth busy.

One of my go to meals, works for any meal. Cooked rice. ( I love black rice. If you haven't tried it before, you should ) saute some veggies. I like peppers, broccoli, mushrooms, green beans, or a combination of whatever is handy. Scramble a couple of eggs in the same pan. Throw in a handful or 2 of kale or spinach and a little soy sauce. Cover and allow the greens to wilt. I like a little siracha or sesame oil. Takes about 10 minutes.

Egg muffins. Make them over the weekend to heat up in the mornings.

You didn't get overweight by not having time to cook and eat? Good food takes time, effort and awareness. You can and should eat what you like for all meals. Plan your meals, and the foods and ingredients you need for those meals, minus what you already have in fridge, freezer and pantry, is your grocery list. If you plan well, you can eat tasty, cheap, balanced and varied. Staple foods can be bought cheap. You have to spend some money on food, but you get to decide what you're willing to pay more for - convenience, trendy-ness, luxury, health claims, environment conscience etc. Many meals are easy and quite fast; exactly how to do things, depends on your skills, schedule, preferences, availability etc - my rotines include scheduled shopping, portioning/chopping/freezing/boxing, thawing and soaking in fridge overnight, rotating weekly dinner themes, running inventory.
