what a great day so far. it's hasn't ended, that's why i say so far.
i went to the gym this afternoon. got on the treadmill and the 30 mins killed me. i have only been doing zumba or some other types of classes. haven't done just a walk in awhile, showed me what i need to do and where to adjust.
i just finished the lawns, and cleaning off the patio. DH mowed part of the front. showered and he's trying to decided what to make for dinner with chicken thighs. so far we have chicken and rice, chicken and dumplings, soda chicken. all i know it's chicken thighs.
he goes back to work tomorrow. i think i might like being alone again. i just have to stay in control of the food. me not the food.

    need to get going...

    feeling really really cr*p today.

Had a gret weekend, was quite good with the food at the wedding but hammered back the wine. Was hungover yesterday and suffering mentally today. feel really depressed and literally could cry! at work and hating it. i'm also due on my period too so i think thats making it ten times worse!!

going home early today i think, will clean the house and go food shopping. bit of therapy. will get myself a fridge full of veg and then i'm going to lie on the sofa and feel sorry for myself.

Tomorrow I will be better, I will start Tae Bo and I will weigh in and curse myself that i've damaged the great loss by overindulging at the weekend!!!

i'll feel better soon. I always feel this glum when i have been drinking.

I have a tooth that the dentist has been telling me for a few years to get a root canal on. Why? It doesn't hurt...until last Tuesday. Started as an overall jaw pain that finally centralized. Went to dentist on Thursday and agreed to get the procedure, but they were shocked when I told them it would have to wait til Monday as my kids were about to go away on Saturday and I wasn't wasting any time not being with them. By Friday morning, my face was starting to swell on the left side. By Saturday, it was worse and I was figuring out how to alternate ibuprofen and Tylenol every 3.5 hours. Yesterday morning, I think partly due to a highly salty dinner, my face look like I had gone a couple of rounds in the ring but slowly went down with water pills and lots of fluid intake. Today is the big day. I'm scared and anxious. In addition to the fact that it is going to cost us $1075 just for the root canal (which we do NOT have) plus the restorative service from my dentist afterward. My absolutely wonderful husband never hesitated and said we would figure out how to get it paid, he is taking off work to take me. He stayed with me almost all weekend, watching movies with me, supplying ice packs and meds when needed. I'm actually thankful the kids are away so I'm not feeling guilty about getting this taken care of and taking time away from them. They are in Alaska in RV with their other family and have called a couple of times a day to tell us about all their adventures. This tooth/jaw thing is definitely a distraction from how much I am missing them.

Not at all looking forward to the weigh in as I have no exercised and sitting around the house makes me eat, eat, eat (once the pain meds have kicked in). But oh well. Things happen.

Cathy - I like your new attitude. We will help you reach that magic 196...and beyond.

finnhead - no worries. You can get through this. I know sometimes my hormones get messed up when I eat foods that I'm not used to. Great job on skipping all the huge starches. Today is a new day and a new week! Yeah.

Catch up with you guys later on the new week.

    good morning...

lula.....rest and get that tooth taken care of. i got gingivitis (from braces long story) at an early age and lost my teeth in my early thirties. it's no fun with dentures. the one thing i miss the most is chewing gum, and biting into an apple.
clare....you did great with the food. you will feel better.
jennifer....how have you been? hows the baby. getting big.
kisten...did you have a nice mini vacation?
    em....hope you are doing good.
to everyone else. hope you had a great weekend and did lots of stuff for you. as in make time for yourself even if it's just 10 mins. did something good for your self. it's important.

AFM: i ended yesterday great and under calories and carbs. i found out last night my new phone scans bar codes in MFP app and adds to diary. only some. but, still better and way cool. didn't know it did that. so easy now. even adding myself is easier than the blackberry app.
DH went back to work today. so cleaning house, running to walmart to get a few things, zumba tonight, need to finish my book. i will enjoy my quite time. it was great having him home, but, he got bored, and i felt like i had to entertain a guest. just like i do when son is home. (only 15 days left).

better get my chores started so i can get to the store and back before the heat wave hits. it's already in the low 80s and it's only 7:15 AM. it's suppose to be heat index up to 115 today and tomorrow. i love you dear husband for working in this heat for me.

    Good morning!

This week is going to be a "get back to it" week. I did not go to the gym last week because of some really bad swelling in my feet and legs. I finally went to the doc on Friday. He made me feel like I was using my swelling as an excuse to not work out. No....my gym shoes wouldnt even go on my feet you dumba$$. He is not my regular doc. He did however give me a diuretic that had them down in just 24 hours. I still have not went to the gym but we moved my mom all weekend so there was just no time for myself.

I am going to log every morsel that enters this mouth! And I have a date with the gym tonight along with W2D1 of C25K.

Good luck to everyone this week. Lets kick so exercise and healthy lifestyle booty! :drinker:

Hi everyone! I used to be on here a long time ago. I hit a major plateau and ended up gaining, so I almost gave up for a bit. Luckily, I found out my chiropractor is also a nutritionist, so I've been talking to him about what I've been eating. Since starting to talk to him and changing what I'm eating about 3 weeks ago, I've lost 5 lbs! So I'd like to join the Sixers again if that is OK. I know you're in the middle of a challenge, but if it's OK, I'd like to weigh in tomorrow with all of you.
