Hello there! Im an avid gamer and am looking for new long term friends. Ive recently moved to a new state with my boyfriend and am missing having a buddy. I want someone who can help me with my weight loss struggles as well as share interests of mine, so if youre interested, hit me up. ;)

Weight:
Ive been overweight my entire life. I am currently the highest ive ever been at 260 lbs. I deal with multiple injuries that cause chronic pain (knees, back) and am a pastry chef, so temptation is always calling... Lol My current focus is cutting out processed sugars.

Likes: video games (anything but League and COD...), comics, DnD/Pathfinder, art, anything about science, nature, music, and tv shows (Peaky Blinders, The Path, Breaking Bad, Rick and Morty)

    Welcome

I had the same starting weight as you and am just working on vanity weight at this point.

I am also a gamer. PC mostly (Sims, Diablo III, WoW, Guildwars, ect) and occasionally PS4. We also have an Xbox, but I don't use it much (SO uses it mostly).

Hey! Nice to see so many geeky people on here. I'm a nature/science, book, and board game nerd. Just started playing DnD recently too and I'm liking it a lot.

I've also been overweight most of my life. I probably have 50 or so lbs to lose but I'm tackling it 10 lbs at a time. I'm working on tracking food consistently and adding exercise to my weekly routine right now.

I dont see it that way. "Time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time." ;) I deal with chronic pain and video games are some of the only things i can do when im recovering.

I'm always looking for geeky friends like me! I'm not a huge gamer (I really only like WoW, and PC games) but that's mainly because I'm too jumpy of a person and can't stand things jumping out at me and attacking me! Lol But I love most other geeky things! I work as an Environmental Scientist and Emergency Hazmat Response Specialist. I love to read, be in nature, watch geeky shows, talk crackpot fan theories with other like-minded people, and lots of other things. My hubby is a geek too and is much more of a gamer than I am. While I can never really get the hang of playing the games, I love to watch him play and enjoy the story of the game.

Feel free to add me! I'm at my heaviest currently as well and need to get in decent shape by May before I travel with my in-laws to Ireland to climb Croagh Patrick. Good luck!

    Add me.

I don't have much time for video gaming in the recent past, but gaming is still a hobby. Most recent game I enjoyed for more than an hour or two was Skyrim. Favorite game series is Final Fantasy. My childhood was Nintendo-centric.

Played D&D in high school. Lately I've been taking a liking to strategy-based board games. Read nonfiction books--I have difficulty devoting the time to read books that aren't immediately applicable to the way I live my life.

Electrical engineer by degree and by profession. Father of a 2-month-old. Introvert; not shy but value 'me' time.

    Edit:
About my fitness goals. I've been on MFP for about 8 years. During that time my weight has been up and down, as high as 295; as low as 237. I'm presently at 250. Ultimate goal is 210.
I'm doing this for my long-term health. Previously mentioned 2-month-old adds (I think) motivation I need to succeed; for the first time, my health is tied to something greater than myself.

Xbox One here. Love me some Bioware and Skyrim. Currently trying to get into Witcher III, but it hasn't really grabbed me yet. I just got this Xbox, so I have a lot of games to catch up on. Thankfully, GWG has let me accumulate quite the backlog for free.

Just finished Peaky Blinders, the fourth season was so good! Made up for the lackluster third.
  • Super big gamer here for Counsel and PC right now in between final fantasy 12 zodiac age and trying to get my self into a new book I am an avid reader. Sent you a friend request.

I'm 25 and currently my heaviest at 220 lb.

I'm a casual gamer. I enjoy things like Pokemon, Harvest Moon, Rune Factory, Kirby and Super Mario. I've recently started playing Overwatch. I'm a Marvel fangirl. DC is okay too, but Marvel has my heart. I'm currently involved in my first D&D realm. I was playing a half-elf warlock, but I died and I'm now a Tiefling Rogue with the Arcane Trickster (magic) archetype. I'm also into art (though I suck at making it), science and nature. I listen to a wide variety of music, but hard rock is my favorite. As far as tv shows go, my current favorites are Agents of Shield, Lucifer, iZombie, Steven Universe and Game of Thrones. Also, any sort of cooking competition show like Cutthroat Kitchen, Guys Grocery Games or Chopped. I'm also a bookworm. I mainly stick to YA, fantasy and paranormal romance genres.

Oo You should add me. My steam library is overflowing with games, as is my board game shelf. I've been part of a table top RPG group for 6 years (though Im still not good at it) we play everything from Warhammer and pathfinder to home brew games. I love cooking for people and am always in the kitchen making food. I also have nerve damage in my neck/back and degenerative cartilage in my knees - so I know those woes. I started years ago at 230 lbs and am now 150 working towards a low of 125 before working out a good maintenance/weight level ratio. So I've been where you are heading.

I also just moved to a new town and would appreciate some good long term friends, even if they are just online.

Oh, yeah, it got all the great reviews, it's just taking me some time to get into it. As I said, I'm a Bioware guy, so I'm really missing that world and the companions. It took me two tries to get into Witcher II, it'll happen. It might get put on the backburner for some more Dragon Age if it doesn't grab me soon, then I'll just try again later.

I am totally new to MyFitnessPal but I saw this thread title and had to post. I love MMO PC games. I've got over 100 pounds to lose so this is gonna be a huge lifestyle change for me. Could use some friends for support along the way. I played the original Guild Wars for years and am now playing Guild Wars 2 and also Perfect World International. Have experimented around with some other games but those are my favorites. Tried WoW but didn't really get into it that much. I think I made it to like level 40 or 50 and let my subscription go. Not much of a console person either, though I have loved my various Game Boy and DS games like Pokemon, Golden Sun, and Fire Emblem through the years. I loved my Nintendo growing up. Good stuff. Feel free to msg or add me (I don't know how to do that on here yet! Haha.)

I'm super into PC gaming if you want to friend up. My fav games are Bethesda games and The Witcher series. I used to play a crapton of WoW back in the day, but I broke free of that! Also I've got over 100 pounds to lose, so that's fun.
  • Hii! Let's be friends! :D I've been playing games since I was barely out of middle school! Started WoW in 2004 and haven't missed a subscription since then lol. All that money.. gone! Thanks Blizz. Currently focused on FFXIV - on the server Lamia if anyone is interested. I recently bought a switch and have a couple of games; Mario Cart D, Zelda. Generally love the geek/nerd culture. Work in IT. Avid cosplayer for my local comic con, and a couple of times during Blizzcon. I have a steam account if anyone wants to play! It's amouredarling. Bnet is VoidKitten11381. I can get on discord, toooooo! - this is open to anyone here, not just OP (I did add OP though :p)

Also got 100 lbs to lose! Yay us go team.

Hello! I'm new to the site. I'm a gamer, old school table top of oWoD mostly, Shadowrun, and D&D. My favorite PC game is Dungeon Keeper. I know I'm probably dating myself, but that's okay. I'm not overly fond of board games, but like Apples to Apples, Life's a Pitch, and Farkle (10,000), regular and spicy. I am looking to lose over 200 pounds. I have a long ways to go, but that's okay, one step at a time. I just looking for a bit of support. One of my goals is to get small enough to make wearing the Star Trek: ToS science officer's female outfit look good.

My weight is around 330 right now. I'd love to be friends.

After the gym PUBG is life
  • Hey all, feel free to add me. Gaming is one of my hobbies, both video and tabletop. In fact, I'm currently playing fallout 4 and have plans to play the Dark Souls board game this afternoon during the super bowl. It doesn't get much geekier than that. I'm also into comic books, sci fi and fantasy novels and TV shows, and like going to conventions. I have been on MFP for over 5 years now and primarily use it to maintain. I enjoy trail running, weight lifting, kickboxing, biking, you name it.

Hey all! Fellow gamer here too! Most of my loves consist of PC (WoW/Steam), PS4, 3DS, or tabletop! Games I'm currently working my way through are WoW (only just started playing in November, I have a lot of catching up to do before this upcoming expansion!), Tales of Berseria, the first Uncharted game, and Pokemon Ultra Sun. Tons of games, but I didn't have much time to play anything while in college so there's a lot to catch up on! I also enjoy reading (lots of fantasy and sci-fi), cooking/baking, watching Netflix with the boyfriend, and swimming.

Currently looking to recomp as I've been pretty sedentary since graduation (been trying to catch up on games!) and everything I gained since then was definitely NOT muscle, so I'd love some friends here to keep me motivated as well as discuss similar interests! (:

Hey! A fellow gamer here, feel free to add me. :) I play PC games (PUBG, Skyrim and almost all RPGs) and boardgames (Eldritch Horror, Battlestar Galactica etc.). We also have a pretty awesome DnD campaign going on!

I've always been pretty active, going to the gym, running and cycling, but I haven't really been focused on my diet, so the weight kind of crept up on me. I'm now 150lbs, trying to get to around 125lbs.

Hello everyone! I'm an active gamer girl as well. I'm big into WoW, but I'll play just about anything. I'm a book nerd and I love my Switch and anything Nintendo as well.

I started on MFP about 7 months ago and I've gone from 265lbs down to 212lbs. I'm still working on it and have a ways to go, so I'm always looking for new friends. Feel free to add me!

    Me too,

I game a lot, not only console but board games too (way to ruin relationships with friends and family). that is my husband's fault.... though him getting fat was my fault (I can cook well).

I started at ~270lb and was ~222lb this morning. I have an open diary too.

I mostly play TESO, but will give anything a go, except Resident Evil, made me jump WAY too much. I have been known to play console games on a stationary bike and it's dangerous.
