I have now started back swimming and my pool now uses swimtag to track what you do. Anyone else use one while swimming?

It's a swim band like say a fitbit. It has its own app and does distance, laps, what stroke you have swam and the swim and rest time.

The only way I have found to do it, apart from manually, is to link Swimtag to Strava and then Strava to MFP

Well 4th swim Tag swim today. 1900 meters in 53 minutes. 76 lengths of a 25m pool 700+ calories burned. This is a great aid to use.

Check those calories, they look overestimated to me. That pace is that of a leisurely short swim at best.

I use my Garmin to track my swims and I love it. Those calories burned do look inflated. I do good to get 160 calories burned for a 40 minute freestyle session. But then again I don't flip turn and that may slow down my burn.

Did you really need to post that comment? It looks like a good swim to me!

Anyway, swim calories are very hard to estimate and I love the idea of a tracking tool.

There are formulas for calorie burn, but many don't include weight, which is likely at least somewhat of a factor. You can compare to this one:
