This is my first time posting here. I’ve spent the last month and a half skipping through and reading. My NSV is creating a good routine for myself. I workout 5 days a week, and stay under calorie goal most days.29

After a conversation about good health and diet, I had a patient look at my hospital ID badge and saw her eyes bulge and jaw drop. Yes, it's a photo of me 1 year ago before I lost 56 lbs. Needless to say she was impressed. Once I get down to my goal weight (another 16 more to go), I'll have to get a new one.20

Got called over after swimming and asked to give advice on technique felt brill.
Also surfaced after around 42m underwater and was being watched with dropped jaws by a few people. Made me feel better as I was a tad "£%£$^ about being so close to the 50m I want to get.
Edited to add:
Just also been collared in the hall and asked, 'so are you going to stop losing weight now?' and 'how do you do it?' hehe
very brief comment of counting cals and MFP logging. Didn't get the glazed eyes.20 -
Sticking to my planned meal times for 3 days in a row. Regardless of stomach rumblings. (Sorry dear... meal is 30 minutes away, you'll just have to wait. So kindly shut up or go away. Or both. Preferably both... )15

Ran 10km for the first time in my life this morning!41

Haha I totally was! I couldn’t stop grinning and kept trying to take selfies that would both capture my euphoria and not make me look like too much of an idiot to all the people around me13 -
This is certainly not a "see the impact" victory, but, in my re-set to get back on full track with fitness I decided to limit alcohol to just weekends. Last night (Tuesday) was super stressful and I poured a small bourbon. I told myself that because I can't drink this weekend (I have weekend dorm duty at a school this weekend), it was OK to have one now. It sat at my side for an hour, untouched. I realized I wanted to stay true to my goals, so I poured it back in the bottle.39

Today was a very long and stressful day at work and I indulged a bit in more food at lunch and during coffee breaks than planned. I felt like coming home and eating a bunch of pasta but instead I am going to take a nap and eat some quiche and a bunch of vegetables, then get back in it tomorrow. Plus, I did get myself to get up and go for a 3.5 mile run this morning and have generally been successfully prioritizing keeping to my workout plans despite getting busier.16

Coworker I haven’t seen since December: Your face looks thinner. Is that on purpose?
Me: I can honestly say I’ve never lost weight on accident.
Seriously, though, she’s the first person who has said anything. Even though it’s only been a month or so, it’s nice to know that others are seeing a change, even if the mirror isn’t adjusting for me yet.19 -
I can sit comfortably on the stairs now, without feeling like I'm going to fall off, because my bum is too big. I keep noticing my thighs and bum are shrinking. After 25 lbs lost, I'm still in the same clothes. I must have really been squeezing myself in them!18

In the shower, felt my face smaller than usual when lathering my face. It’s like muscle memory, your brain thinks your face is larger but the touch is smaller25

I can finally fit into a couple shirts that were too tight on me before. But at the same time now most of my other shirts seem a little too big. Oh well, I'd much rather have them slightly big and comfortable than too small and uncomfortable.9

The swim suit I bought when I was at my heaviest is now way too big. I'm worried if I dived the bottoms would fall off! Guess I need to go shopping.12
-
I've switched over to coke zero from regular pop and tea. Yay for drinking caffeinated beverages with zero calories.16
-
Ran on the treadmill in shorts today and felt pretty good about it, legs didn't chafe too bad and I wasn't a self conscious as I expected!24
-
my NSV is that I feel better, I can see my neck and lost some of my back fat19

I was stood in the shower cubicle after swimming, caught glimpse in mirror and was actually proud of myself.
Have had this when dressed, am liking the way I look a lot more in clothes. This morning was the first time I can ever remember thinking that I was happy with how I looked naked. Still a ways to go, but yeah, Happy26 -
Just spent a small fortune on clothes 2 sizes smaller, I've lost 3 inch off my waist and hips and just didn't realise how baggy my clothes had become.14

when i started i made two stacks of jeans. the ones i was squeezing into... the other ..the jeans i used to wear and now couldn't even get up, zipped let alone .. buttoned. i'm now into the third pair in the "impossible" stack.. the last two smaller pairs to go!18

Went to a workshop yesterday. It was pouring and I had to run to my car. I have a very small 2-seater (a Saturn Sky, which they don't even make any more). My NSV is that I jumped into my car and managed to get my umbrella down and thrown into the passenger seat foot area without even thinking about it. Before I lost weight, it would have been an impossible struggle to get my big butt in and the umbrella down. It would never have fit across me without getting me soaked!23

My pant/dress size is now a single digit! I had to replace all of my work pants, again. I replace every 2 sizes - this is my 3rd time replacing clothes since last May/June. I went from an 18/20 (March) to now I'm comfortably wearing an 8!41

Went to the gym and worked HARD this morning on 2 hours sleep (my 4 year old had horrible growing pains).19

Couple of NSV's this week...
1. I wore regular dress pants to work today instead of maternity pants (5 months postpartum) and they fit comfortably!!! I was worried I would have to unbutton them at some point but they feel great!
2. After I had my baby my discharge paperwork said I was obese, which to be honest kind of upset me...I just made and delivered a baby! Give me a break! but it was true. Last weekend I got into the overweight BMI category...I'm coming for you normal BMI!
3. When my toddler offers to share his snacks with me (which is the sweetest thing ever) I have no problem saying "no thank you" even when he is trying to put the food in my mouth
4. We had a big party last weekend with lots of great food. I was so busy visiting that I barely ate during the party. After the party instead of trying to eat all the leftovers at once, I had a normal amount of leftovers for dinner. The next day I brought the leftover desserts to work and shared them with my coworkers instead of eating them all myself throughout the week.
5. I no longer think of food in terms of "good" and "bad". Before if I had sweets or junk food in the house and I ate some I would think "well this day is shot, guess I should just eat all the bad food so it's not tempting me tomorrow". Now I just make room for a serving and leave the rest in the cupboard. My husband is very happy that I no longer eat all of his chips in a day or two
6. Finding success with losing weight has boosted my confidence in all areas of my life. I used to think "I need to do that, but I probably can't", where now I think "Let's get this DONE!"29 -
I did NOT want to go to the gym after church last night. It was cold, i had eaten under my calories, and i was tired. I told my husband that i was just going to come home. He said i would have to do an at home workout (because i told him he had to push me to get fit) if i didn’t go to the gym. I hate working out at home. So guess who went to the gym anyway. This girl! And while it wasn’t my best effort in the gym, effort was made.28

NSV: I've been doing Pilates and/or yoga twice a week for three weeks now (this is week 3) and I can actually see a difference in my posture. I feel taller.13

NSV: I've been doing Pilates and/or yoga twice a week for three weeks now (this is week 3) and I can actually see a difference in my posture. I feel taller. I also sit up straight more at my desk. AND I keep my chest open and shoulders down. Which eats into my back muscles a lot. It feels good this new found posture I have. I feel confident and taller and like I've accomplished something14

I'm down a pant size in my jeans, it took a month.20
