Chin ups! I did chin ups this week. At first my knees were bent but by the end of todays session I was doing 2-3 reps with straight legs. Never thought it would happen!26

I ate like crud today, but I still logged and completed my diary.28

Not sure if this is a NSV or not... Went to Panera Bread today for my free coffee (I got one a day for 2 weeks), and medium is the largest free size you can get. But the guy at the counter told me to wait a second, put the medium cup away and gave me a large. He then winked and said to have a large instead.
Not sure if it was because of all the weight I lost or not, but it definitely made me feel good about myself, lol.18 -
I just finished C25k week 5, and I'm now able to run for 20min! I remember the first day, when I almost collapsed after only 1min... In 5 weeks from 1 to 20min is a huge success.32

Congratulations! I completed C25K recently also. I was cheering the first time I ran a full 5 minutes. I have my very first 5k planned for the end of March. Already getting nervous.8 -
Caught my reflection in the gym locker room while I was just in my underthings and thought I looked pretty good. That's a first!18

We had this problem last year, only we were trying to find an Iron Age castle (read: hill). It took us three attempts. The first attempt we got caught in a thunder storm (complete with lightning and hammering rain), got soaked and had to take refuge in a barn.
The second attempt we got lost in some fields, then had to go back as the children had "needs" that they weren't going to attend to in some bushes.
The third attempt, we found it and conquered it. Eventually.
Not sure that the site was worth the hassle and I'm certain that my children still haven't forgiven me for it (not that it was my idea at all but I have broad shoulders and took the hit for DH who insisted on repeatedly going back to find the place).
It's all good fun though. I enjoyed the walking!
Not planning to return though . . . once was enough.13 -
I shared my white chocolate hazelnut chocolate bar. I had 8 squares left and I broke it in 1/2 and gave 4 to a friend to have with our tea.14

She also asked us not to tell the lady concerned (we wouldn't have anyway) as she didn't want her to be upset.
What I take from this is that you have a right to be proud of your daughter's character.10 -
NSV: meal planning and prepping has helped me lose 6 pounds so far. This is a NSV because there was a time where I loathed meal planning and prepping and if I happened to do it, I would get a few days in and find a reason (socially more often than not) to throw in the towel to only go back to my old ways. It has been a vicious cycle.
Now I am enjoying it, looking forward to doing it, pushing through when it becomes difficult, and am loving it’s affects on my waistline and on my wallet.16 -
It's official... I am medication free.... Cholesterol is controlled by diet and exercise! Whoot!
And, it's wuss-city - but I was able to do ten bench pushups... baby biceps to the rescue...61 -

Absolutely. For a five year old to have such a grasp on how people's feelings can be hurt is just amazing, in my opinion. I realise that I am just a little biased here but most kids I know just blurt things out without thinking.
We saw the lady who gave my daughter the chocolate again today at the local parkrun. My daughter was very diplomatic and just said "thank you" again for the gift, without mentioning whether or not she liked it

Finally added (a tiny bit of) weight to my squat PR! 230 lbs!20

My freshly washed size 14s are a little big in the waist. Usually jeans are always right after washing lol.17

I did a 21 day challenge at my kettlebell club and today was the day where we compared the same swings that we had done on the 1st day of the challenge. Well, for 2/3 swings I increased the weight of the kettlebell and my total poundage (weight x # of swings) increased by over 100lbs!!! The challenge also tested push ups and I did 3 more than I had done first time, which was a huge deal for me since I really struggle on push ups.17

Ate a lot today but NSV is that clothes are looking and feeling better as I get stronger!14

#1. I went to Tim Hortons for coffee with a friend and had enough calories left for both a raisin biscuit and a coffee
#2. I "rolled up the rim" of my coffee cup and got a winner - a donut
#3. I gave the donut to my friend instead of keeping it for myself28 -
I love the way I look now. Went shopping with my husband and he kept picking out dresses for me saying I had great legs. We were supposed to be jeans shopping for him!28

Feeling pretty good about shoveling snow for almost 2 hours, but still doing my planned rowing machine workout and strength training afterward. Li'l ol' lady got it done (with decent steady state but challenging pace on the rowing machine, 3 x 2km at paces 2:19.2, 2:19.5, 2:16.8. )!23

I share my failures and victories on Facebook and a friend told me yesterday that not only do I look amazing now, but that I inspired her to start tracking her food again and start exercising.
I have never been an inspiration to anyone. I often feel like I'm shouting into the wind by sharing my life on my Facebook, but you never really know who's listening.32 -

That is awesome! You must be so proud.
I have been told by about 5 people that I have inspired them too.
It makes you so proud.10 -

I just realized... you could totally squat me and could for quite some time!
You're one tough lady!12 -
For the first time in twenty years, I went horseback riding yesterday. This was a win for a couple of reasons.
1) I went. I didn't wait to find someone to go with me, I just went. I put off soooo many things I was heavier. Now I'm of the mindset that if I want something I should just go after it.
2) I didn't need help getting on and off the horse.
3) Except for my less-padded butt being sore from sitting on the hard saddle, I don't have any l residual effects.31 -
While sorting out my wardrobe today I found 2 bags of clothes that used to be too small for me. One was UK size 12 and the other UK size 10. After losing a stone the 12 bag fit and even some of the 10s, though they'll look better in a couple of weeks. It's like I've a brand new wardrobe yay!22

Today I made a soup with a lot of kale, a little chicken, carrots, broccoli, and cauliflower. I didn't even miss the potatoes or noodles. It used to be alllll about the potato or noodle for me. I'm starting to enjoy more veggies!22

I teared up. It made me feel so good about myself. I have always wanted to help people.8 -

Oh this journey has made me so emotional. I seem so much more sensitive now. When I think about how far I have come or if someone says just the right thing to me I tend to get teary too. I still have a long ways to go but don't intend to stop any time soon.5 -
I've been reading this thread since I started back on MFP three weeks ago and now I have one to add (and I didn't even realize it until I was reading the thread again lol). I got dressed today and walked by the mirror and actually stopped to go back and take a picture cause I actually felt pretty good about what I saw! I still have plenty of progress to make but it was awesome to feel good about seeing a change in just 3 weeks. Another one that just occurred to me ... My 19 month old gets excited when she sees me putting on my sports bra and getting out my running shoes because she LOVES the kid zone at the gym. My NSV there being that I've actually been working out often enough that she recognizes the signs of what we're about to do!33
