What are your period weight gain numbers (women only obviously)

I just want to compare out of sheer curiousity. My weight is up 2.5lb this month due to my period and it always goes back down along with another 2-3lb loss for the week immediately after my period ends. When does the period weight come for you? Before or during? When does it fall off? During or after?
I’m ignoring my 2lb water bloat and pushing through my workouts extra hard, chugging water and prospering.

Who woo'd you? Some people are so trigger happy lol .
I always gain and it doesn't come off until couple of days after, I 've gone up to 5lbs and I now try not to weigh that week as it winds me up seeing undeserved gain.
Not a real gain obviously and it always drops down and then some. Good on you for keeping working out I struggle that week.35 -
I agree, either they don't know what woo means, or they just like to push buttons
My weight fluctuations are not in line with my cycle, at all.26 -
I usually see around 5lbs, but can see a jump of 8 sometimes. Falls off a few days after my cycle.10

Thanks! I love the gym but working out this week has not been easy! I have to take extra strength excedrin or midol before each workout. I have been bribing myself to go to the gym by saying if I go then I can use the hydromassage bed or hot tub after it’s working so far

2-3 lbs, goes on 3 or 4 days before, comes back off after 4 days. So yeah, a full week of bloat! But for me, the worst part is the increased appetite before! I don't notice it at maintenance (or when gaining), but after a while at a deficit it creeps in really badly! I give myself 300 extra calories during those days, but it's still a real struggle to not go over even that. My deficit is about 500-600 cal per day, so not extreme. This time around I'm going to try doing refeeds, and see if that helps.15

For me, it's almost exactly 3 pounds every time, which shows up 3 days ahead and leaves the 2nd day after onset. I have a ridiculously short and very reliable 21 day cycle so that gain eats up a lot of time, so much so that I used to try to just stay 3 pounds under my ideal weight so it wouldn't matter so much.7

I don't around my period but I can set a clock to the 2lbs I gain at ovulation9
-
mine goes up 2-5 lbs depending on month...I've been tracking it! But it goes back down, usually down that weight plus another pound or two four days in.5
-
I tend to stall my weight loss at ovulation, and then again a few days before my period. My weight stays the same or goes up a pound or two the week of my period. It's usually off, plus a pound or two, a day or two after it ends. This month I stalled for a week before, the first 4 days of my period and then went up a pound on the 5th day. Hoping it's off in another day or two. Very annoying!!8

I usually only go up a pound the day of and it goes away within a couple days of it ending. PITA... men don't realize how easy thy have it in this regard.4

I'm up 3.2 pounds. It comes before my TOM. This is my first time noticing that my TOM affects my weight. Ignorance lol6
-
I gain anywhere from 2-4lbs at the start and it goes away by the end of the week. Really annoying but what can ya do.5
-
Same for me. I gain a pound a day for 4 or 5 days.
And I want to kill everybody.
But like other said, what can you do. I stay away from the scale, wear clothes that hide my legs and stomach, and avoid mirrors for a week.7 -
I am the opposite of most. I actually fluctuate down 1-2 pounds 2 days before, energy levels for me are lacking, I don't sleep well and performance in my workouts suffer, but the 'day of' I am weight stable and my energy levels are back.
Ovulation I gain a couple for 2-3 days then back to weight stable.4 -
Mine use to be 2-4lb. Lately it has been 1-2.5lb. I noticed a weight gain during ovulation week then a drop then gain during TOM week.5
-
Usually 3lbs a couple days before, and it stays for AGES! Prob 3-4 days after I see a loss, then it feels like about a week of proper readings then waiting for the water weight again!6
-
I go 8-10 up the day of and then usually drop it within 2 days. Kills my life so I try desperately to avoid the scale if I can.9
-
I am so bloated right now, feel so fat, gained 3 lbs. Just checked and i am right around ovulation day. So ready for it to come off. Decided not to weigh until i feel the bloat go away. It's so frustrating!!5

Yeah...but then, my husband has to deal with me during PMS, so I guess it evens out!12 -
Those days are gone, but, it was 2Lbs at ovulation for 2 days. 3-4Lbs two days before my period. That lasted until about day 5 of my flow.5

My weight goes up 2 lbs a few days before TOM and it gets down when’s done only to be up again before Ovulation for a few days...SO annoying5

I don't know, I would take some bitchiness to not have to deal with the constant gains and a week of no or little losses! Haha8 -
Lyle McDonald finally put out his Women's Book. It has several chapters dedicated to the menstruation cycle, including the impacts of estrogen and progesterone, and how the hormones impact water retention, weight loss, hunger, etc. I found it fascinating if you're interested in the science/biology behind it all.9

I don't look anymore. I think it's about 5 lbs. I have chronic constipation too so there's no way I'm getting on the scare during that time.9

Usually about 3-4 lbs, sucks *kitten*. Would a dude really come in here to comment despite this topic being about periods? Like dafuq?!5

Was thinking the same.
Though there are some male trainers who might chime in. But still.6 -
Typically 3-5, but I've had months where its been higher. I just avoid the scale during this time of the month.5
-
Just dropped the extra 2lbs this morning after my period was over yesterday. I'm around 135lbs.4
-
Last night I weighed my lowest night time weight since I began logging... looks like I should be expecting a huge drop off in weight very soon since my period is ending.4
