Week 1-
Week 2 -0 -
5 pounds is 2.5 lbs/week. That's a daily deficit of 1,250 calories. Unless your TDEE is above 2,450, that's a very low calorie diet. MFP does not promote (or allow) very low calorie diets.0

Don't get discouraged if you can't quite hit 3 lbs, either. Depending on how much you have to lose, it can be REALLY slow going!!
Here are some good guidelines to shoot for.
More than 75 lbs. 2 lbs./week
40-75 lbs. 1.5 lbs./week
10-40 lbs. 1 lb./week
Less than 10 lbs. 0.5 lb./week
