Someone posted a truly appalling sounding recipe on here not too long ago. She called it GLOP. Ground turkey, salsa and cottage cheese. I just worked up the courage to try it last night. Eaten hot, it's amazingly delicious. I never would have guessed in a million years. And man, what a wallop of protein!

I love cottage cheese. I like to add blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, banana slices, pineapple, apples, grapes, mandarine oranges, etc. Pretty much any fruit. Sometimes I'll add some chopped nuts like pecans. For a more savory option, I sometimes add avocado or guacamole. Not the prettiest looking, but I like the taste.2

Applesauce for sweet.
Salsa or sauerkraut (weird, I know, but it's my skinny girl pierogi cheat) for savory.0 -
My favorite is to use Quaker oats sea salt and black pepper rice cakes as "chips" and the cottage cheese as the dip.4

1/2C Canned no sugar added peaches, blackberries, raspberries, blueberries I find to be a great combo with cottage cheese:).1

Sliced canned beets or grape tomatoes and lots of cracked black pepper.2

Fresh berries, usually. I do love it with pineapple the mostest! I've never been brave enough to try it savory.0

Oddly enough, I tend to think of savory as the default mode for cottage cheese. I didn't learn to eat it with sweet things until I was an adult!
FYI - cottage cheese is recommended as a substitute for ricotta cheese if you can't find good ricotta in your area. It works wonders in lasagna or mixed into pasta.5 -
OMG ! Never imagined I would see so many responses. Thanks to all ! Wrote them all down. I am set now.1

cinnamon and a pinch of stevia1

Smoked paprika that my parents brought me from Budapest, and chopped green onions or chives.3

For those that like sweet. I have made a Pear, Fresh Rosemary, Irish butter combo for dinner rolls. (Pear preserve).
Forget the butter. Pear/minced Rosemary. Sweet and a touch of herb flavor. Maybe ?0 -
Any type of fresh fruit, yummy!!!1

My favorite is blueberries. I eat it almost every day.1

SF jam/preserves, balsamic glaze, fruit-infused balsamic vinegar, pepper.0

Canned beets ? Love them. Would have never thought of that.
Lasagna, I always use cottage cheese. Guess I have never run across a good ricotta...2 -
Any kind of fruit is good, but I also like to dip raw vegetables into cottage cheese. I agree with the spaghetti suggestion. I mix it in (not fully, sort of just swirl it in) to the tomato/meat sauce. I also use it in lasagna instead of ricotta. My mother uses it as a salad dressing, which I’ve never tried but it’s probably good. Mixed with tuna.5

I like to do greek yogurt (Fage) in equal portions, some peanut butter, a touch of Stevia, then fresh fruit on top to save me some carbs/calories from canned stuff. Fresh strawberries and blackberries are my favorite together...then a touch of whip cream. If I am looking for a few more calories, I add in some nut mix. (tip: get a nut butter that is a bit runnier for ease of mixing).0

Something I forgot about. Browned Onion Kugels baked in a muffin tin also have cottage cheese, poppy seeds, etc. anyone ever made them before ? If not, check them out. Great for a side dish, presentation....and portion control. .1
