Is taking a vitamin necessary? I’ve been feeling sluggish the past few weeks and notice I’m not even taking in 50% of mfp recommended iron. Wondering if taking a vitamin could help?

Many things can contribute to feeling sluggish. Vitamins are only worth it if you have a deficiency. Many entries in the MFP database are user created and thus may not be complete, so it's not a good baseline really to determine whether you're not getting enough of something based on that alone.

I don’t eat a lot of iron rich sources besides leafy greens. I don’t eat fish, dairy or red meat.

Are you eating beans? I'd recommend talking to your doctor before starting an iron supplement.

How many calories are you eating? What's your exercise level? Some MFP entries don't include accurate data on iron or other nutrients. See your doctor if concerned about iron levels.

Also, are you a pre-menopausal woman? Because that's who the 100% RDA iron is calibrated for. Men and post-menopausal women are fine on 50%.
