Slow and Steady

I know slow and steady weight loss is the healthiest and best way to lose weight. But it’s also the most frustrating. When I got on the scales after Christmas I’d put 12lbs on. I’m burning anything between 600 - 850 calories per session in the pool 3 - 5 times per week. I’ve given up refined sugar for Lent which includes all canned drinks, chocolate, desserts, cake and biscuits, as well as tediously detailed food logging each day, and have upped my steps each day. The last 5 weeks I have only eaten between 1/2 and 2/3 my maximum calorie count, and since January 1st I have lost the grand total of 4lb. Very frustrating. Working so hard for such slow results.

I'm only speaking from my own experience, but for me, when my weight loss is at its slowest, I'm actually not eating enough. Don't ask me why, but normally when I plateau, I just increase my daily allowance of calories by 10-20% for just a few days, and I'll start to see progress pick back up again. HTH!1

I am running 3 times a week, ensuring I get at least 10k steps a day, throwing in HIT workouts, hula hooping & eating really well. Approx 12-1400 calories a day, typically porridge or poached egg on brown toast for breakfast, soup or salad for lunch, healthy home cooked dinner. If I need a snack its a banana or a handful of nuts.
Yet I have too only lost 4lbs since 1st January too.0
