Problem Jogging

I'm using the couch to 5k app and am almost at the end, but I've been having a problem recently. Due to the snow, I've been jogging indoor on a treadmill. Almost every day I have to stop my jog in order to defecate urgently. I'm not sure what I'm going to do when it's spring because I can't run home halfway through my jog to use the toilet. The jogging seems to cause the urgency of the matter. Does anyone have any suggestions to reduce #2 urges while jogging?

This is common. You need to go first. It may mean timing your run, or your food/coffee, or your wake-up time. I occasionally do a warm-up lap around the my block if I haven’t taken care of it before I leave.5

It's common. For me, timing is everything -- no food two hours before a run.2

Jogging is a natural laxative. (This can be both good and bad.) I've had the same experience, and I can only say that it seems to get better over time as your body gets used to it. I've varied my timing and preparation and things have gotten a lot better.0

I generally run around 7:30 am and fast between 6 pm the night before and 8am the next day.0

You need to go to the toilet before you start running... so you might need to start running a bit later if yiu cant go before you start. Maybe try less fibre the day before you run?2 -

It's possible that your body is just not a fan of early morning exercise, if you haven't had a chance to "go" first.
Do you have to workout at 7:30? Any leeway to get a cup of coffee in you first, get that out of the way, and then run?

Confession time! Since I go in the morning when it’s still dark out, i usually hop on into the woods and poo. I know, ew. But I feel so much better after! I go right before I run, too. But sometimes my body is just like “time to go!”2

Do you bring toilet paper and hand sanitiser? And a doggy bag to scoop it up after?

My mom has IBS and often needs to poo in the woods while on a walk. She always brings toilet paper with her.
I have a tiny bladder and often need to pee, so I bring TP as well.0 -

Oh totally. I bring the extra thick, soft TP. And of course my handy dandy gallon of hand sanitizer. Can’t forget that shovel, too!1 -
I did my first years of marathon training in a neighborhood that was under construction; I knew the location of every portable (chemical) toilet. It was very handy..
I found that having a very predictable routine
helped. You will get to know and appreciate your body very well.
The good part is that races usually have restrooms.0
