1lb per week is a good rate of loss. What are your stats - height and weight?

Losing 1lb or less a week is good, keep going! Remember slow and steady works, but that isn't that slow either.

1 lb a week is good. It tends to stay off too.

You might be going wrong on one or more of these areas:
Aiming for a too aggressive calorie goal, so you get too hungry, because you're not getting in proper nutrition.
Being hungry because of that above, so you end up eating unbalanced to get more energy, fast.
Not logging correctly, so you're in fact eating more than your think.
Overdoing exercise, eating strange foods and meals, at inconvenient times, and not eating food you like, so you only want to quit, and find ways to "sabotage" yourself.
Expecting unrealistic results, like a lower than healthy weight, or a loss of more than 1% of your body weight per week, or each week to show the same drop on the scale.

Yep because of your age and height, you're going to have a relatively low maintenance intake of around 1600 calories so you're losing as expected really. Patience is key.

It looks like 90-95%, where is the rest? You didn't lose 3 pounds of fat this week; you have to look at your weight changes over time.

Andianneuk, I find at our golden age ;) it helps to increase protein. I set my protein to 1 gram per pound of body weight. It is hard to meet that goal, but it's the goal nonetheless. I have lost 100 pounds in two years and kept it off with that strategy. I feel like a pound a week is fantastic! Congratulations! It will be harder for us to build the lean muscle we need too, for strength as we age and for increased metabolism, and increasing protein will help with that!

You don't have to do that. What's important is that you can stick to your calorie goal. If upping your protein and lowering your carbs helps you do that, do that. If it makes it harder, don't. Forget "healthy" fats. Just eat a good mix of real foods. A diet based on home cooked meals made with normal ingredients, has a healthy balance of fats and other nutrients.
