  • WHATS THIS?X:flowerforyou:
  • I have friends who have done it, and it seems dangerous. Too low of a calorie intake. One friend passed out in the mall, and at work. I asked my doctor about it and she said that it is very unsafe. The best way to lose weight is controlling what you eat and exercise, not fads.

Hmmm ... injection/consumption of hormones coupled with dangerously low calorie intake in order to lose weight. Doesn't seem like a good idea. My aunt has been doing it and has lost 12 pounds. I can't be excited for her because I know that as soon as she (and everyone else doing this fad diet) goes back to eating like she used to, all that weight is just going to come right back. And who knows what havoc those hormones are going to play later down the road.

You know your doctor is good when he/she's not trying to take all your cash by recommending you go on HCG. Also, people will continue to believe that these fads work regardless of the proof of it. Anyone can lose weight eating 500 calories a day. Just sayin'.
  • INJECTIONS?????????????
  • I actually found about this through my Doctor and I am currently under his care and monitered every 2 weeks. I have had alot of success and have lost 40 pounds so far. It isn't for everyone but it has definitely worked for me:) Thanks for your in put.

Doctors also used to prescribe cocaine for toothaches. But whatever, to answer your original call for support: There is a search function at the top of the forums. I know that I've seen a thread about people doing this, so just type in HCG and you'll find the thread.
  • Didn't mean to start a debate on the diet. Was just looking for others who were doing the diet also.
I know it isn't for everyone and that their is alot of opinions out there.
Everyone should make their own decision for what is right for them. I am ok with it as I am monitered by my doctor every 2 weeks.
  • this expensive?
    xx
  • Thanks for the info. I wasn't sure how to find others on my same diet plan.
  • I get the drops from my doctor. He charges 30.00 for a month's supply.

Unfortunately the only sources that I've seen that claims this is a safe way to lose weight is hcg specific websites. All reputible sources on health information tout this as very dangerous. It surprises me that any doctor would recommend this. That being said, do a search there is a support group on here somewhere.
  • Thank you
  • where r u from?x
  • I have had friends and family do and lost weight but of course anyone would lose weight if they surpress their appetite and eat about 500 calories a day. I don't judge anyone for trying whatever it takes to get their weight off however I just want to say that although you will take it off, you will have a very difficult time maintaining it without changing your mind and your old habits and eating with
balance and everything in moderation. I'm glad you have lost weight and if you need any help in knowing how to maintain and
keeping it off for the long haul feel free to friend me (that goes for anyone) on here.

I leave positive food & tips for thought on my page daily and would love to have you on over as a friend.. Have a fit-tabulous day,
    Colleen (Seattle)
