Upgrades to recipe feature

I searched through the questions and boards and saw things about the recipe feature from over two years ago and yet nothing new.
We need to be able to search our recipes, share them with others (like my husband), duplicate them so we can make a new recipe out of an existing one, etc.
Is there anything in the works for this?
Thank you.

I’ve wondered the same thing. I guess a quick fix could be screen shorting. Tagging thread0

I have the same question / request - can you share a recipe with another My Fitness Pal friend / acct member?0

Same question/request and I can't seem to add any instructions to the recipe (unless I'm missing something?). Currently it's just a way to list a bunch of ingredients.0

I am unable to post recipe I've added to recipes to my food log for the day. I have to add calories, carbs, fat, etc. y hand.0

Not exactly. But if another MFP user has access to your food diary (either because your diary is public, or because they're your friend and your diary is open to friends, or it's accessible with a key and you've given them the key), they can copy a meal in which you have logged the recipe, and once they've done that, it will be in their recent foods, so they can log it again, and they can adjust the serving size if necessary.Secretnotes wrote: »Same question/request and I can't seem to add any instructions to the recipe (unless I'm missing something?). Nope, there's no way to add instructions. They used to ask if you wanted to share the recipe with other MFP users, and if you said yes, I think there was a way to add instructions, and tag it ("quick," "vegan," "breakfast" etc.), but since they never implemented the sharing feature, that was a waste of time, as you could never seee the information you added, including instructions, yourself. I'm not sure if they still ask that or not; I haven't noticed it lately, but I might just be ignoring it.
Don't hold your breath waiting for any improvements to the recipe function. They did roll out the "new" recipe tool a few years ago that lets you import recipes from other websites, but I find you have to edit them to match syntax for database entries you know are accurate before you let MFP try to match the ingredients in its database, or you end up with a lot of bad or just mismatched entries.1 -

Well that's extremely disappointing. I get fewer options with the premium option on this website than I used to get free with caloriecount.com before it went kaput.0
