What do you reward yourself with when hitting personal goals?

I’m curious what others reward themselves with when hitting personal goals... do you eat a meal you wouldn’t typically have? Do you buy yourself something nice? Do you go see a movie?
So far for me, I’ve met one personal goal, which was losing 15 pounds (I’m currently at a weight loss of 18.6 pounds) and I bought myself a pair of new nikes

when i lost 40 lbs (years ago) i paid myself 10$ a lb and used it to buy new clothes --I saved the 400$ by not eating out along the way! every week I'd put $$ in an envelope--if I lost 1.6lbs-$16 into an envelope. it helped me save money and lose weight--double win. I've since put most back on--I know, its sucky--and I am fighting my way back down now.28

It depends. Definitely not food for meeting weight loss goal, though.
I once bought myself a Fitbit for logging in for 90 days straight, but now I use my phone for steps.
I have a deal with my husband that we will take an acroyoga class when I weigh less than him. We made the deal years ago and I still remind him whenever I get back on the wagon.

I hit my lowest hip measurement today and bought new earrings, a ton of skin and hair care and ate low kcal ice cream whilst watching the Bachelor. I've got no shame
I always buy new clothes or things as a celebration
Once I hit a new PB I will order myself Gym Shark workout gear.12 -
So far just a new bathing suit and some yoga pants. I was going to get my ears repierced when I left the 200's, but then my years old closings decided to get rashy again, so obviously, thats not gonna be a good idea.4

I reward myself with the satisfaction of hitting a personal goal. Rewards for bettering myself do not work well for me because it makes weight management something special. I don't want it to be special. I want it to be a normal part of my life. I do spoil myself with food and non-food stuff for no reason at all because I like feeling happy.25

I am all about weight loss rewards! I didn't have a specific plan for celebrating milestones during my first 65 lbs lost, and I knew I needed some inspiration. So I wrote out some rewards on sticky notes and put them in envelopes with some cash.
- 250: go to Cookie Love (involves a scenic drive to a little shop with fancy local-made cookies!!)
- 245: (75 pounds lost) take the afternoon off work
- 240: buy $25 worth of clothes at Old Navy
- 235: buy some new underwear (a necessity at this point)
- 230: go to Target (a big deal for me because the closest one requires taking a ferry to New York! #vermontproblems)
- 225: take myself out to breakfast
- 220 (100 pounds lost): trip to Burger Barn aka the best burger in the whole world (this was my original MFP goal, so I figured a food reward was allowed)
- 215: clothes from Forever 21 (with a gift card)
- 210: haircut
- 205: manicure
Some of these rewards are different from what I had originally planned. If you have a lot of weight to lose, you will always want new clothes, but it usually is not worth the money. I tried to limit treating myself with food, but sometimes I think it's okay
Now I am at 197.4 and haven't decided on a reward for 195. I may just spin the wheel again. We shall see!24 -
I try to do something every 10 lbs lost. I lost 34.1 Lbs so far . We went to the movie and I loved it I didn't have anything to eat there cause I couldn't calculate it but oh well. the second 10 lbs I was rewarded without having to spend anything as I had won a jacket from work which the large was the bigger size and it then fit snug but still was able to wear it I haven't celebrated my 3rd 10 lbs lost as of yet I think I will wait to reach the 40lbs lost and treat me new undergarment as I start to be in the odd size for both top and bottom. Nothing fit and it's more of a necesitty at this point. I might steal @kingleahnidas thrift store shopping trip for the 50 lbs mark .8

I love reading all of these! It gives me inspiration to keep going and to reward myself when I hit personal goals. I sometimes feel like rewarding myself is selfish... But if I am working on bettering my health, I should be able to get myself something for personal goals. I will probably reward myself again once I hit the 30lb mark, which I am aiming for that to happen between April and May2

I reward myself as well! I only have 5 pounds to lose (but these last few pounds feel like they're taking forever!) but once I get to goal I plan on treating myself to a manicure, because I've never had one before. Once I get to goal weight, I plan on re-evaluating my fitness goals and work from there. For example, I've never been able to do a full pushup and once I'm able to I'll probably treat myself to something small, maybe a new pair of earings or a new piercing I've been wanting. I'm also planning on starting the c25k next week. Have never been able to run a full mile either, so once I'm at the point where I can do that, I'll probably reward myself with something else. When I get to 5 miles without stopping I'll probably treat myself to a bigger reward, such as shopping or getting my hair done. We put in so much work to get the results we want, we deserve to have something extra to look forward upon meeting those goals.5

In the past I have always rewarded myself with a meal.....that is a slippery slope for me. Now I have cut back on eating out so much & save the money to get massages every 2-3 months. I don't have plan for when it happens but just when I have been working out hard & sticking to my daily goal of nutrition. I have 5 more lbs to reach 40 lbs lost & I think I will go again when I hit that. I think the last one was around 20 lbs.4

I want a tattoo re-designing and maybe my ear re-piercing. I have a jar in the kitchen that is full of 'shrapnel' up to 20ps. When I am happy and in maintenance that will be counted to go towards that.
Previously that jar was constantly being raided for a 'free' take out as it was outside the budget haha1 -
When I a lot of weight the first time, I rewarded myself with fitness-related items: new weightlifting gloves or running socks. I like the idea of paying myself for each pound lost and saving the money for something big (a trip, a concert with VIP seats) when I reach my goal. In fact, I may break out the old swear jar (which was abandoned after many failed attempts) and repurpose it as my weight loss earnings!4

At 20 lbs lost I hired a personal trainer. At 25 lbs I'm buying a couple pairs of pants! My jeans are falling off me today and I only have 2 pounds to reach my 25lb goal so that will be fun! At 50lbs I'm going to do something amazing. I haven't narrowed my rewards down yet but I have a lot in mind. Ultimately at 100 lbs lost I'm thinking about a small tattoo to commemorate the huge achievement. I also want to go on vacation to celebrate with my family. It WILL happen. I'm hyper-focused this year and it feels so good!6

I think it all depends for me. It's usually new clothes/new makeup. Mostly new workout clothes though1

For me, it is so exciting to log in my new weight. i really don't need a material reward...getting it done is reward enough for me.5

I was able to break into the 150s and stay there during February, so I am rewarding myself with some knitting patterns and yarn. (You didn't say the goal had to be exciting...haha.)11

I've found HAVING to buy new clothes because the old ones are falling off very rewarding.
I've had to due it a few times so far.
However I have promised myself a brand new touring kayak when I reach my goal weight.
94lbs down, just 35 to go!!!5 -
Last winter I set a goal of walking outdoors 5 out of 7 days a week for a streak of 100 days. It's very freakin' cold here. I rewarded myself with a new E Reader.
For my C25K I rewarded myself with new pajamas after completing each quarter of the 8 week program.
I don't really have a goal weight reward yet but I did buy a pair of goal jeans at a thrift store. I fully intend to parade around in those once I can.1 -
When on a weight loss journey I found it best to go shopping for "new" clothes at a thrift store . One , if you have a lot of weight to lose your going to be wasting previously bought clothes . I'm saving buying new clothing for when I reach my goal weight or if I catch a really good clearance deal . I'm on a new journey I regained a ton of weight! Good luck to all !3

Other than buying a ring when I dropped below 200 pounds/hit 50 pounds lost, nothing. The weight loss is reward itself. And I work in a women's clothing department, so I pretty much buy things I like the moment they go on sale.4

^ This. I look better, I feel better, and I want to keep looking and feeling better. Reaching my goals is just what I do. If I was going to reward myself, I'd probably avoid food related rewards. I'm a big proponent that removing guilt, reward, and morality is an important step in having a lifelong positive relationship with food. Clothes or workout equipment sound like good ideas!2 -
I reward myself with things every 5lbs I lose. A new workout top, a manicure, new eyeshadow, flowers, etc. It varies in price. Then every 10 I lose I get what I need. Like new pants or a new shirt. I will continue to do this even after I reach goal. Then it will be something like a new workout top because I did 10 workouts in two weeks or something like that. I never reward myself with food, though. That is a slippery slope for me.4

New clothes. But, not too many. The rush of feeling more comfortable in fun clothes helps to motivate me to stay on track.2

Mostly I've been rewarding myself with feelings of success. However, I'm less than 10 lbs away from goal weight, which means that:
- Each pound is really hard
- I need to replace lots of clothes
So I've been rewarding each pound with new clothes. Mostly really basic stuff. I weighed one pound less today so I'm going to buy new underwear that actually fits.

I am at 38 pounds lost and when I hit 40, I am going to purchase some Oribe hair products ( they are a little pricey so they will be a nice reward for reaching the “40” milestone)2

I started with a few small things... a new stainless steel water bottle, a bracelet, and fancy skincare items. Now that I'm down a lot more my rewards have become things that I need because nothing fits anymore and things are getting worn out! I just got a new pair of Asics because my others were so worn down, and I got a new (temporary) wedding ring set because my real ones were sliding off of my fingers! Else just new clothing has been enough. Might be time to treat myself to a pedicure for Spring once I hit 60lbs lost...4
