Hello! I started the CWP 10days ago and wondered if anyone in the MFP community was also doing it? I fell off the wagon yesterday, rallyngutted with myself, but back on the horse again today.

If it's a very low calorie diet, then that's why you couldn't keep it up, and you shouldn't, because it's unhealthy. That's also why very low calorie diets aren't allowed to discuss/promote in here.

Wow. Not quite the support I was hoping for but thanks for taking the time to reply. Fell of the wagon because we had some special news at home and had to celebrate with some fizz. I like the plan because the ‘thinking’ or ‘planning’ has been taken away for step 1, but we’ll see how it goes.

Noone in here, at least none of the regulars, will support self-harm. But there'll be plenty of support for finding healthy strategies. If you're going to succeed, you have to think and plan, and it's not actually that hard, it's liberating and delightful and empowering. You need to make priorities every day, because unexpected things will happen, every day, for the rest of your life. You can and should eat food you like, but you have to eat less to lose weight. You yourself is the one who decides to eat/drink, what, when and how much.

Ok, it’s no longer 500calories. Day, but it is supported by my GP. I hadn’t realised it was outwits forum rules, and if I could work out how to delete this thread I would, but I’ll stop posting in regard to this specific diet. Thanks for the replies.

Most doctors don't know much abou nutrition and weightloss, so even though you can delete the thread (click Flag, Report, This is my post and I want to delete it) and continue the plan, I suggest you do the opposite - leave the plan and join the MFP community. There's so much fun and happiness to be had still, why suffer unnecessarily.

Hi OP. I recommend that you give MFP a try. Set up your stats and goal for weight loss, and then log your calories every single day. To be accurate, you need a food scale. What most of us have found is that you do not need to have an extremely low daily calorie goal to lose weight.

I also recommend reading these forums. I have learned a ton of info just by learning from some of the experienced posters on this site. When I first started, I was eating too few calories, and after learning of the very serious health risks associated with not eating enough, I was able to right the ship. Even with increasing calories, I am still losing weight, but now I don't feel like I am starving all of the time.,,a much more sustainable approach for a lifelong change.

    Best of luck.

There is a reason it's against the rules---you don't get enough nutrients on very low calories. It should be done only under close supervision by your doctor and for a short time frame. Stick around. You may learn something. Good luck.

Adding a 200 calorie dinner in stage 2 makes a 800 calorie day, so stage 1 is 600 calories/day. I don't know how long stage 1 lasts, but I would be miserable.

Why did your doctor recommend such a *kitten* plan? Are you have weight related health problems?
