Father/Daughter Dance Song

hi everyone!

i'm getting married this september and have begun the search for some of the key wedding songs. i was wondering what people have danced to or have heard/watched others dance to for their father/daughter dance. i have a strict no-cheese policy when it comes to the music at my wedding (macarena, ymca, shout, celebrate - all banned) haha so i'm carrying that through the first dance songs.

i'm really stuck on the father/daughter dance - i was thinking "you are my sunshine" by johnny cash, but not sure if that's weird. my dad's a big peter gabriel/talking heads/brian eno fan so i thought i could explore that route, although I would need to be conscious that the song isn't 5 min. long, or could at least be edited down.

any songs you've heard for this dance that kind of caught you by surprise/found to be more unique than all the typical father/daughter dance songs?

You can never go wrong with Johnny Cash and that's an excellent song choice. Others that haven't been played into the ground:

That's How Strong My Love Is - Otis Redding
Cecelia And The Satellite - Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness
    Never Alone - Lady Antebellum
You've Got A Friend In Me but use Michael Buble's recording and not Randy Newman's
If or when I ever get married I want to dance with my father to "You raised me up" - by Josh Groban

I will however sing the song myself, and record it to have it more suitable. There is also other female musicians who sing this song. It's very special.

This is my daughter's pick when she gets married. She's always been Daddy's Girl. I jut hope I can walk her down the aisle without crying. I'm tearing up right now thinking about it.

This can work for both sons and daughters, the chorus is about the fathers children. (and a personal fave of mine.)
