Lord...I needs tons of help. Who’s got me? I got a teenage girl and a 10 yr old boy.5
-
2 girls, ages 10 and 14. The hormones are RAGING! I will not survive.5
-
Me either. I’d rather go live in a mental health facility.0
-
I have two boys who think their absent, angry, alcoholic father is a superhero and argue with me about everything based on what he does or says when he sees them.
I am exhausted. I don't even want to think about the teenage years (which will last for 11 years)3 -

I have a 2 year old daughter, she acts like she is 13 already...0

@whitney_cherelle and @Avocado_AS5 you have all my sympathy. I really feel for you. I don't think I could handle teenage girls! I was one, that's enough drama for a lifetime!!1
-
@CaptainFantastic01 are you sure you want to open this particular can of worms?? Toddlers are treats compared to teenagers!
One tip (that I am still struggling with as I have no backup when I am too exhausted) - set your boundaries and stick to them. Never falter!0 -
Girls 3 and 5. I'm sick of having to make the coffee. Every. Morning. Seriously. I love when my mom comes to visit, she makes it AND folds the permanent laundry goon in our livingroom chair and does dishes. She stays a week and does more than X did in years. 36 and I'd rather have my mom around than a man...

I wish I had this. I tend to tell my babysitters (teenagers) I'll pay ya extra if you fold my towels and sweep my floors1 -

So you and her dad made it 10 months, but your man only made it 3 days? I'm so confused
My mam..i had edited it but clearly it hasn't changed0 -
Newly single mama with a 3 year old mini-me. Just at the beginning stages of the divorce process so I'm feeling super overwhelmed with all of this.
We were together since I was 18 so I don't even know how to be single. Let alone be a single mama.
I'm in awe everyday of you chicks who do it and make it look easy.7 -
Well, this is my place! I gots a 15 and a 13 yr old, both girls. And ya, ya'll are right, it's a lot of work and stress, but man oh man do they make life worth it!4

2 boys - almost 16 and 11. I am thankful every day that I didn't have girls, I can barely manage my own estrogen fueled feelings and my boys are great kids... Most of the time anyway! I'm really lucky to have a great coparenting relationship with their dad, so no real drama from that either.0

She comes a couple times a year and visits for a week. I'll have to try the babysitter bonus0 -
I have 21 month old baby girl. She is super sweet and snuggly and my whole world. She is sick right now, as am I.
I am happy to report that I think I got 5-6 hours of sleep last night! Super relieved. I think I had 12 hours sleep TOTAL since Friday night..... It's been a rough week. Been dizzy every day from fatigue, but can't take time off work. So last night was just..... beautiful. Still exhausted, but I'll make it. haha3 -

I'm sorry. That is horrible. It's bad enough being sick yourself, but to feel so completely helpless to ease the suffering if your baby is the worst! I hope you both get better soon (and get to sleep the whole weekend away)1 -
I have my 5 year old son home today with the nor’easter with at least 10” of snow since last evening!!! And it’s still coming down Just ended things with his dad after 4 1/2 years together. Went on a mutual ‘break’ only to find out he’d rather be with her instead, but still wanting me at the same time..Um ya that’s gonna be a no. He then told me own the way to Walmart that having us 2 girls was stressing him out and point blank told him that, ‘why you stressing? You only have one girl to take care of now’ then I found out he’s been cheating on me with her since November and had a gambling problem, didn’t pay the mortgage and lot rent and got us evicted!! But his child support is the rent for our new place, moving next month, and it comes straight out his paycheck since he works maintenance for an apartment company thing!
Wow sorry the book3 -

Swap the genders and this is me. Going through divorce with a 6 year old boy (mini-me) and a 4 year old girl. I’d been married to my wife since we were 19. It’s tough figuring out how to be a single adult when I’ve essentially never been on my own for my entire adult life.
For all the hard days, though, I do have the opportunity to watch my kids grow up.2 -

So to all the single parents.....
My little one is 21 months. I have been single since I found out I was pregnant (same weekend I got divorced....).
It's been 2.5 years. How do you date or do anything "adult" without the raging mom guilt???
I feel so horribly guilty even thinking about getting a babysitter, because with work and errands, I don't have much time with her to begin with. So the free time I DO have, I want to spend with her.
But you know... there are those days when you just need time away. Whether it's a date, going to dinner with friends, hitting a bar with my sister, etc... And I feel so guilty even thinking about it.
It's not like I can stay out late, anyway..... My baby girl doesn't sleep through the night yet, so I am usually home by 9PM...
How do you do it?

First and foremost, let go of the guilt. Remember that your Daughter deserves to have the happiest healthies version of you possible. This can only be achieved by taking care of yourself...yes including going out and blowing off steam any way needed.
I understand as Mothers we tend to pull that guilt trip on ourselves often, but from one Mom to another...you deserve this, and so does she!4 -

Thanks.
Yeah, I am working on getting over the guilt.
I do have family with me, I actually live with my parents. My mom watches my little one while I am at work, so I don't ask her to babysit on evenings or weekends. She does more than enough. I am lucky to have extremely supportive parents.
I am working towards buying a house, I just need to finish paying off my car, as I can't afford a car payment and a mortgage. So I will be living with my parents for a few more years....
I got pregnant, the same time I got divorced and moved back home. I was broke, pregnant, in debt, jobless, basically homeless..... Its been 3 years of work. And I am tired. I want a little fun.... I miss having fun.
I have been talking to a potential babysitter. I need her to come around more so my little one gets used to her. She is very attached to me.
