Yes, your body absorbs water. MFP and most people who try to stay sane recommend only weighing yourself once a week. The scale is only a reference. It's the choices you make when you aren't on the scale that matter. Trust me, you'll save yourself disappointment and you will always know where you are (did you lose 2 or more pounds since last weigh in or are you plateauing?) It only took me two weigh ins 1 week apart to know I was on a plateau. It has not affected my motivation because the gains, while only .4 or .2 in 1 week are still gains. If I would have weighed myself everyday during those weeks I would have been going insane.5

You go to the toilet whilst you are showering4 -
Weigh first thing after toilet, before shower or breakfast.
Of course you weighed heavier afterwards, wet hair plus our skin absorbs alot of water too which will show as a gain temporarily.1 -

Well since you asked for it..........the dirt washes off, now let me go duck for cover4 -
Haha I did notice something similar as well. A 1-2 pound fluctuation weighing myself before/after taking a shower. It's mysterious1
