Advice on this diet I've came up with?

Hi im new here, and i have a question. I'm really bad at this dieting stuff, im not very smart when it comes to this area.
im at around a bmi of 35, which is considered obese, but for some reason, I never really have an appetite, so dieting wont be too hard for me. I am looking into diet plans that consume under 1000 a day, but dont worry, I'd only do it during a short period of time, its just to lose some weight faster and give my body a boost.
I just don't know what to eat. I dont have time to make big meals, so if anyone knows of small things that are easy to make, such as eggs, that'd be greatly appreciated.
I came up with something like this:
breakfast - hard boiled eggs, green beans, carrots, and lots of water
lunch - Greek yogurt and carrots
Snack - More carrots
Dinner - white baked skinless chicken with green beans
What do you think of this diet plan? What else could I add to it? I'm trying to consume a low amount daily. I already cleared low calorie weight loss with my doctor.

1000 is not healthy even for "a short period of time". Your body doesn't need a boost, losing fast is not always better, this diet is bland and it's not going to help you with the bigger task of maintaining down the road.
Eat foods you like, only less. Weigh everything, log accurately, do activities you enjoy. Don't over-complicate it with unhealthy diets.12 -
If your doctor has cleared a VLCD for you, they should be giving you a specific plan that ensures that you are going to have your best shot at meet your nutritional needs at this time. It's concerning that they approved a VLCD but aren't giving you any specific guidance on what to eat. You should be getting guidance from them on this, as we can't advise on VLCDs here.12

You're BMI 35. Let's say that magically TODAY, you were BMI 24.9. NORMAL WEIGHT. HURRAY.
NOW WHAT?
How are you going to maintain your new low weight?
Are you going to have eggs and green beans with chicken for the rest of your life and eat less than 1000 calories?
If you're BMI 35 why don't you try an experiment. Pretend you're the weight you would be **IF** you were BMI 22. Just a random number. Don't worry. I have my reasons and they don't include actually aiming to become BMI 22.
But just pretend.
Now look up the calories you would get to eat if you were BMI 22 and maintaining your weight. At your current activity level and all that.
Now eat that way.
I mean you're going to have to maintain at or near that weight and you pretty much will be getting about that many calories plus maybe enough extras for an occasional meal out or a chocolate bar or glass of wine extra... so you might as well start getting used to what you will be eating at your new weight... right?
Don't worry. You will also be losing weight by doing that because you're actually spending more calories right now hauling some extra poundage around town.
When your losses start slowing down considerably and you're losing less than 0.5 lbs a week and are not yet normal weight you can post and ask for advice on what to do next.20 -
It's a really bad idea1

If your goal is to collapse and perhaps die, go for it.
If you want to lose in a healthy manner, opt for a slight deficit and stick to it long term rather than rushing to lose everything all at once. Most of the time people end up bouncing back and eating back everything they've lost after starving periods anyway.2 -
Doctors generally don't really know much about weightloss and nutrition. What you are planning, isn't just unsafe and unhealthy, it's ineffective, it's unnecessary, unpleasant, it's going to make you go back to overeating in no time. Your body doesn't need a boost. You need to eat less for a long, long time.
If you already know that you lack knowledge about dieting, but you're on a dieting website, wouldn't it be logical to start out with the recommendations you got when you signed up here?
If you never really have an appetite, how come you're eating too much? Why don't you just eat a bit less? If you think it's hard to eat a bit less, wouldn't it make sense that eating very much less, will be terribly hard?
Difficulty of preparation does not come down to size of items. You can eat any foods you like. It's healthy, and most people like, to eat many different foods every day, and from day to day.
There are so many kinds of food to choose from: Meat, fish, seafood, eggs, fruit, berries, vegetables, tubers, grains, pulses, nuts, seeds, oils, dairy.
And so many different ways to prepare them: Sandwich, soup, stew, wraps, smoothie, porridge, salad, mashed, baked, roasted... just buy a cookbook, or google recipes.5 -
That sounds incredibly boring and if I were a betting woman I'd give it 3 weeks before you were binging on biscuits8

3 weeks? That's generous... I'd last 2 days tops!9 -
It's amazing that you've got a BMI of 35 if you don't have much of an appetite. It really is!13

I agree with one of the other posters. If your doctor has cleared this type of weightloss, your doctor should be helping to guide you to a proper way to go about doing so. Weight loss has to do with calories, but proper nutrition is important and consuming too few will almost guarantee malnutrition. Working with a doctor or a registered dietitian can help you ensure that even if you are eating low calorie, you are doing so safely.4

Ain't gonna happen. That's akin to thinking putting a couple of gallons of cheap gasoline into the tank will boost the performance of your sports car.

Protein, FAT, and carbs......my guess this plan is very low fat. How long are you going to be able to sustain very low calorie, very boring food? Why do something short term when you have a ways to go?
There is no such thing as giving your body a "boost." Excitement from losing 2 pounds a week (instead of 1.5 pounds a week....in a sensible manner) is going to be short-lived and the chance of falling off the wagon will be much higher with so much restriction.
Instead of looking for a quick fix find a weight loss plan that helps you learn about maintenance too. Make small changes here and there. Add some activity. More calories will allow you to be more active (you will have some energy!). Some of these small changes can become permanent ones. Losing weight is just the first step.
Easy cooking - do you have a crock pot? Soups and stews are as easy as throwing everything in and setting the temperature. Invest in some freezer containers so you can store portions for next week, or next month.

Are carrots and green beans the only vegetable you enjoy? I would get sick of this in 3 days0

There's no need to worry about what you can eat on a diet, because you can eat pretty much anything. Focus primarily on nutrient-dense, whole foods, but if you want pizza for lunch or a bowl of ice cream? Go ahead and work it into your goals. If you don't have time to cook every night, spend the weekend prepping meals for the week.
That said...1000 is way too low. Even 1500, the minimum intake for men, is likely too low given your BMI. Set your goal to lose two pounds a week and go from there.3 -
Sure you could do that for a while, and you will probably be just fine for a bit. But why? Are you so angry with your body that you think punishing it and sending it to bed on prison rations will teach it a lesson? (Protip- it doesn't work any better than it does with your 4 year old)
It's a heck of a lot easier to just log and weigh what you're already eating, and then find ways to cut out several bites and some sauces a meal to cut back on calories without making yourself miserable. Especially if you already aren't a heavy eater. Trade light popcorn for chips, maybe stop ordering fries, or one less taco and do less mayonaise on your sandwiches. Little things build up very quickly, and make your life so much easier.4 -
I'm in a weight lose program at the hospital lowest is 1500 calories for a man unless they are basically bed ridden then could be 1250. Fast and low is a very bad idea dropping very low you will burn muscle over fat first, will be very had to meet basic vitamin and minerals needs per day. 2lbs a week is very max you should lose safely. Don't go on a diet change your lifestyle for long term success.2
