Diary Help

I need help with diary entries. How do you customize items and when you make from a recipe, what all do you include? I am new to tracking my foods and want to make sure it is as accurate as possible. Thank You!

Put everything you use in the recipe builder. Enter the number of servings. Log the number of servings you eat.1

@tara_vance I'm not sure sure what you mean by "customize" items? Do you just mean change the serving size? Sometimes there are multiple serving size options in a drop down menu for the entry, and you can also change the number "1" in front of the serving size if you ate more or less than the defined serving. Is that what you mean?0

Thanks everyone for the help. When I say customize an item, it usually means something that I get out to eat. I got a fish sandwich from somewhere yesterday and it was just the fish, bun and cheese, but it took me forever to find something to match as close as possible. So I chose the entry for a plain fish sandwich from the place and just had to add a piece of cheese as a separate entry. Eventually, it may not be a customization for something out, but for a recipe I might use. (I am a picky eater!)1

Alternatively just work out what was in the food and add the ingredients separately.... Fish, bun, cheese...2

If the restaurant provides information on the sandwich with the cheese, you can create your own entry using that information. Or if it doesn't, do what you did by logging the sandwich and the cheese separately. If you eat that particular sandwich a lot, and you want to save yourself logging two separate items, you can either create an MFP entry using the data for the sandwich plus the cheese, or you can save that meal for future one-step logging.0 -
Awesome! Thank you so much! Good luck on all of your journey's everyone!0
