Who's got plans for the day? I usually eat and drink to excess (it's my bday), but I'm planning on a good work out before going out this time. Still planning on a crazy day!!

I might be a little excited about St. Paddy's day.

Also I should inform you, since it is your birthday, that:

I always make corned beef and cabbage and hang out at home drinking Irish whiskey.

On behalf of everyone in Ireland; THANK YOU!

I live in Dublin city centre about 600m from the parade route so my general plan is go to the gym then stay home and avoid the city like the plague!

    Too many drunken tourists :P

I got my gym class teacher of that day green things, similar to last year. This year it's green stuff from Bath and Body Works. (Last year it was alcohol.)

Ouch! Sorry for my American faux pas... I see it spelled a MILLION different ways. I usually can't even read it by the end of the night :) This is my style...

Honestly, a lot of holidays just end up being another day for people to get drunk.

I plan on going around pinching strangers on their neck fat until I get punched in the face. Then I'll go to the bar and drown my sorrows in beer that's green. Hopefully there'll be a Cranberries cover band that day.

Why? That's always confuses me a bit since it's St. Patrick day, not St. Padraig's day. I nean, I know the names have the same base, but that's not the name on the calendar.

Because Paddy is short for Patrick. Nobody calls a Patrick Patty and it sounds/ looks super weird. That's it, not that confusing.

It's like instead of nicknaming a George "Gerry" he is now "Georry". Weird.

Really? Because Padraig it's the Irish spelling.

I didn't realize it until today, but we are going to a Surprise Birthday Party for my SOL. On St Patrick's Day. At a Pub. I don't drink beer, but I imagine I will have a Whisky or three. Guess I'll make it Irish Whisky.
