Measurements larger at night

Ok I know we are more bloated at night but my measurements were an inch and inch and a half larger last night than they were this morning! Is that normal? I looked awful last night and got up this morning and looked like I had lost a clothes size over night.

Well, presumably you ate food during the day. Where do you think it goes during the digestion process?4

yea it is normal, that is why you should only measure yourself once a day, at the same time everyday, preferably in the morning. You should also only weigh yourself once a week to avoid seeing fluctuations throughout the week caused by stress, hormones and food intake. Weighing yourself and measuring yourself throughout the day is not going to give you the same, or accurate representations of your progress. Try measuring and weighing once a week to really see accurate changes.1

why are you measuring yourself in the morning and night - you are not going to notice a difference each time measuring yourself that often (if that is what you are hoping for)??1

Yes its normal, you've eaten all day so that swells the waist/tummy area temporarily.1

Food baby...
Stop obsessively measuring yourself multiple times per day...9 -
Sorry just to clarify I normally measure myself once a week in the morning I am not mental haha. I just looked so big last night I was curious that’s all and just wondered if it was normal as it was such a big difference.2

yeah you will always be bigger in size at night than first thing when your belly is empty0 -
I believe most people are also shorter in the evening, so that plus food weight means your BMI could change, too!2

oh gosh you'll be setting a whole lot of people off on a downer soon LOL I'm short enough so I'll not dwell on the thought that by nighttime I could be even more smaller3 -

Don’t calculate your BMI more than once a day, kids, and always after using the bathroom!4 -
Why do you measure at night? I would make more sense to measure yourself once a week to see if improvements occur. I can't imagine measuring myself every single morning and also at night.0

I don’t. Like I said in another reply it was only a one off as I looked like I had gained loads of weight in one day so I was curious. Normally I measure once a week in the morning
