Hello all. My first post here but not new to weight loss attempts. I am working hard to lose a few kilos and build up my leg muscles preparing for knee surgery at the end of the year. My limited activity makes the weight loss slow. I walk and recently added stationary cycling , and some days pool therapy. As far as eating goes, I am gluten intolerant, so tend towards low carb. Anyone doing a similar program for support?

Gluten intolerance does not mean you can not enjoy healthy complex carbs.
Whole grains like quinoa, brown rice, as well as pumpkin kernels and seeds.

Enjoying a well balanced diet from across all the food groups will not only ensure good health, but you won’t be bored.
Consider eating Greek yoghurt and fermented foods. This will help good gut health which can help reduce the inflammation.
    All the best.

Thanks for the replies. I have applied to join the group you mentioned @Tiny_Dancer_in_Pink Lovely to chat to similar minded folks. @theabsentmindednurse I love Greek yogurt. Recently I started making milk kefir, and just last week made my first kefir cheese. Old dog, new tricks lol Thanks for the reply

    I brew my own Kombucha.
Really enjoy the process. I have found it has helped reduce inflammation in my own body and my health is benefiting when my gut health in sync with my body.

I brewed kombucha for a while too! Loved it. Also water kefir. I have just moved to the milk kefir since I was diagnosed with osteoporosis. I thought a little extra calcium won’t go astray.
