Hi all.

Just a quick one for you. I’m really into my home made protein balls and I have been trying to think of some ideas that don’t ALWAYS include peanut butter. Try these with a scoop of your favourite protein powder.

2 cups of rolled oats
2 large bananas (mashed)
A hanfull of choc chips
A handful of sultanas
Bake on 200 for 20 minutes.

The results- a delicious low calorie snack for pre, post and during workout if needed.

Because it will kill you if the food detects that you're not a lifter.

Haha not only for weight lifters, but being one, and a lover of food- these bites go hand in hand.

I wrote this in a hurry. Note to self- scrutinise before posting. . .

Maybe I should call them energy balls rather than protein balls. I took the peanut butter out because I seem to eat it a lot.

You could jazz these up and add protein powder. . . In fact, I’m going to do just that now. Hold tight, I’m going
    To make a batch.

lmao OP. Yeah that's an energy ball. A carb ball if you will. I'd eat it if I didn't have poverty macros.

Eek, I don’t follow regimented guidelines with my diet anymore. I’ve had a slight obsession in the past and find that these days if I fancy a bit of carb, I’ll have it. Then run or lift it off

I'm so lazy I'd just turn it all into a smoothie and call it a day, haha

Am I missing something, but where is the protein in these protein balls? :'(

To be fair in the first line it says "Try these with a a scoop of your favorite protein powder"

OP has edited. I edited my comment before I get 100 more

Sorry all, I edited the post, I just tried the recipe with a scoop of protein powder and I found it to be a little dry so I added an extra 1/2 a banana. A little too good to be honest. Off to the gym I go

Sultanas are like raisins only better (in my opinion) approx 70 calories per bite (I got 18 out of my mixture) that’s without the protein powder. Slightly higher with that.

Ohhh those also sound awesome! Have you got a recipe for the waffles you can share? These were great for my workout today. They are in the cupboard now- out of sight out of mind

I just use the Kodiak mix substitute egg and milk instead of water.. Make a bunch and freeze and toast as needed, topping with the peanut or almond butter, banana, and a tablespoon or two of chocolate chips... It hits the spot every time B4 lifting and doesn't make me feel too full or anything either. But I am gonna make your recipe too!!

I’m going to give these a try on Friday before my 10 mile run. Thanks for the idea!! Love trying new things. I just had one of yesterday’s creations. They really are delicious
