How to log meat?

Options
My joint of beef was 500g raw.
Calories as per the packet is 215 calories per 100g as sold so when raw the whole joint is 1075 calories.
It's been cooked, wrapped in foil in the oven with nothing added and when it's cooked it weighs 277g.
Ive had 88g for my dinner.

Can someone please help me with how I log it?

Find a cooked beef entry in the food database

You could estimate by saying that none of the calories cooked out and the 277g of cook meat is 1075 calories
    1075 cal/ 277g=x/88 g ergo x=341.5 calories

I usually have entered into a myfitnesspal recipe 36oz of 95% lean ground beef. I plan to eat this over 6 servings, so I weigh out 36 oz of ground beef to cook, cook it, then afterwards weigh the ground beef again and divide by 6 to find out how much to eat for each cooked serving.

88/277 * 1075 = 341.5 so the same answer as above, but just seems a simpler calc to me.

    Thank you.
That's how I worked it out, it just looked like a lot of calories.
