I usually watch something while I work out and it helps me workout longer! Any other suggestions ?

I can't watch anything while working out. I get too sidetracked. But I alternate between hip-hop and metal. Gives me a little boost.4 -
Sometimes I have music videos on in the background, but I'm not watching them, maybe in between sets.. or unless I'm doing steady cardio.1
-
If I tried to watch something, I'd trip.
On the trainer, I would have Hulu or Netflix going. Nothing subtitled, I can't read while trying to hit specific wattages.
On the streets, Ive got an array of mp3s on a SanDisk clip - dnb, metal, classic rock - for running.
Biking, I'll stash my phone in a jersey pocket and usually play my discover weekly Spotify playlist.

Lately I've been listening to old-time radio shows I've downloaded to my phone from archive.org. My favorites are "Have Gun, Will Travel", "Yours Truly, Johnny Dollar", "Nick Carter, Master Detective", "The Shadow", and "X Minus One".3
-
When I hit the street I hit Spotify All out 80s. Yep, gotta take me back to Jr/high school with the tunes. Sometimes I'll get some 90s too.3

Depends on my mood and what I'm doing. Usually it's some form of EDM. I like a good beat to move to.0

I'm big on Hollywood Undead right now. Avenged Sevenfold, Disturbed. Anything heavy and angry.4

I can see having music playing while working out.
But if you can watch a show or read, guess what?
You ain't working out.
If you ain't huffing and puffing and sweating, you ain't doing it right.12 -

Nice selection, Okiludy!
I also prefer to get my exercise done while rocking an angry playlist. One of my favorite playlists right now inculdes 5FDP, Avenged Sevenfold, Deftones, In This Moment, and Rage Against the Machine. Sometimes I have to check myself though because I get a little caught up in the music, and moshing in the gym is probably frowned upon1 -

Even those times I’m forced to a treadmill, I don’t use headphones. I like to watch people. They’re interesting when they think no one is watching.
I guess I’m old fashioned as it comes to that. Birds, dogs, wind, car horns.... all part of my run.
This! I’m old fashioned too! I would have missed the bald eagle, last week, perched high.1 -
I fast walked 3 miles and watched friends2

I don't think I could read or watch TV while I'm working out, although I was on an elliptic that stared right at the TV today, so I did read a bit of the CC on the school shooting.
I like an eclectic mix of music, so long as it's mostly uptempo. Usually iTunes on shuffle...today I ran across Rage, Van Morrison, Cage the Elephant, Etta James, the Cars, Howlin' Wolf (surprisingly good workout music), System of a Down, Hendrix...to name a few.
I have always loathed running, but suddenly took to running 45 minutes on the treadmill (usually close to 4 miles) about twice a week. I have yet to run outside; it's too icy here anyhow, but I'm going to be quite self conscience about it, I imagine. But if (when) I do, I wonder if I will want the headphones on, or if I will be like the previous posters who like to listen to the sounds of nature. When I hike, I find music very disruptive; when I go out for a neighborhood walk, I like it.0 -
Drake.
Coheed and Cambria
Slipknot
Disturbed
The offspring
Theory of a deadman
Wiz kalifa
Dj khaleed
Jeez
Lil Wayne
Korn
System of a down
Jay Z
Rag n bone man
List goes on.4 -
Tupac and anything from 90’s even 80’s R&b, listen to it all however I’m feeling that day. Also depends on the weather. Lol1
-
Outside: Nothing.
Indoor bike: Podcasts, either work or fitness related.
Treadmill, easy run=More podcasts.
Treadmill, structured workout=Music with an appropriate cadence.
Race warm-up=Music. Current list includes Bruno Mars, Snoop Dogg, Metallica, Pharrell, random 80’s techno.0 -
For machine cardio recently I watched Wynonna Earp, Deadwood, new episodes of Blacklist as they come up, all kinds.1
-
I listen to music on Spotify. Usually I just search something and then choose a playlist that some random person put together. Right now I’m listening to a rage against the machine list1
-
It may sound weird, but, when I'm on the treadmill, I watch horror movies. With 3 kids and a wife that hates scary movies, it is really the only time I have to watch them.
BTW, stay away from "The Bye Bye Man"...
Not a good movie!2 -
I listen to Post Malone while working out lol. Relaxing yet gets me pumped.1

LOL. I frequently run up to half-marathon distances (at 8-something minute miles/7 to 7.5 mph, so while I'm not winning races, I'm definitely running at a reasonable pace) on my treadmill while reading an ebook. I am "huffing and puffing and sweating" with my HR up around 170, but I'm reading as well.
I know not everyone can read or watch TV on a cardio machine, but I've never had trouble doing it. I just bump up the font size a bit on my iPad and tap to turn pages while it's resting on the treadmill ledge. Netflix is even easier since I don't even have to poke the screen every couple minutes.
If I'm running outside, I just listen to music or an audiobook or the Zombies, Run! app, but inside I like a little more distraction since staring at the wall for almost 2 hours gets tedious. So...book.
My Spotify running playlist is here and it is TERRIBLE. I will listen to anything with sufficient BPM and so it is a bewildering combo of current stuff, 90s favourites, and every catchy thing I heard in a bar in my 20s.1 -
Just finished The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel......loved it! Watch shows on the Elliptical. Listen to books when I run.1
-
I mostly road cycle...so usually listening for traffic and watching the scenery.1
-
Can;t watch TV. Just could never focus on it. Usually rock or electronic music.1
-
Hard and angry old metal....Judas Priest, UFO, Sabbath, Metallica....With some angry guitar from Trower, SR Vaughan and Hendrix.0
-
I don't agree with the theory that if you can watch TV etc then you are not working out. Anything you are doing above and beyond sitting around is better than nothing. I get between 10,000 and 20,000+ steps per day. Much of which is on my treadmill in the winter months. Mostly walking. I'm typing this as I walk right now! Granted, I'm not walking all that fast at the moment, but I'm still moving! I surf the web when I'm walking and find Netflix series and movies as well. I try to choose series that have multiple seasons. For two reasons, they are usually pretty good if they make it through more than one season, plus I don't have to search for things to watch as quickly that way. I ONLY watch it while on the treadmill and that sometimes helps me to walk even longer when I get to the good parts I want to keep watching! When I'm running, I can't type and surf, so during those workouts, I'll just watch my Netflix series.1
