I literally have eaten a bowl of oatmeal every single day whether be breakfast lunch or even dinner since i have started this lifestyle journey (since June 2017) It's like i can't get tired of it, i literally crave it all the time, (even now after just eating it) My husband is dumbfounded and asks how i do it and never get tired of it.. It's just so good and a addiction and i've seen amazing results in and on my body so why stop!?!? it tastes like banana nut bread which is a plus!

I loveee oatmeal!! I eat it for breakfast almost every morning!3
-
I'm certainly not addicted to oatmeal but I eat it most days of the week for breakfast. It's good for you so I wouldn't worry about it to much.2
-
It doesn't fill me up enough unless I eat alot of it so I eat it maybe a couple times a month.3

i've lost 103 pounds since june of last year, i credit a lot of it to oatmeal , coffee, and Salad!! and cardio and Weight Training Lol i've actually enjoyed the journey still wanna lose 15-20 more30

I eat it every day, sometimes twice a day whilst bulking (6 months of the year) with 2 scoops of Myprotein natural chocolate protein powder in and almond milk, it just shoves on so much weight for me, then again I have like 1000-1200 calories worth at a time
However whilst cutting I leave it alone, I daren't even buy any and bring it home lol.4 -
1/2 cup oats ,1 Lg banana, Cinnamon, Spoon of crunchy Peanut Butter , its very filling and so good. i even put a tbs of honey sometimes :-) try it this way! it's BOMBALICIOUS16

I eat oatmeal every day too. I put a Tbsp of each flax meal, hemp hearts and pumpkin seeds plus a handful of blueberries and almond milk. Soooo good. Fills me up til lunch.2

Your enthusiasm for oatmeal scares me25

I have never understood the appeal of oatmeal. There really isn't much to it, as far as nutrients or fiber. There are much better tasting options that have more fiber and nutrients.16

I get it- I've had a piece or two of string cheese almost every day for two years now. I'm all about flexible eating and making sure you get a variety of food, but when you find something that works, especially in the AM, there's no need to mix it up just for the sake of mixing things up. Oatmeal's never done it for me, but good for you finding what works for you! Congratulations on your loss so far!4

I eat oatmeal sometimes. I don't feel that enthusiastic about it.
I eat zucchini or spinach more often than oatmeal.2 -

I have to add protein and a bit of fat for my oatmeal to have any real staying power. Steel cut oats made with 2% milk and fruit....yum.
I really like that oats provide both soluble & insoluble fiber too.2 -
I eat it once in awhile because it makes me feel full for hours. But its certainly not a favorite of mine. Its a texture thing.
And congrats on losing weight, but it has nothing to do with oatmeal and coffee and everything to do with eating at a calorie deficit.2 -
I don't find oatmeal satisfying or tasty. I eat McMann's plain instant Irish oatmeal maybe once or twice a month, sweetened with Splenda or Stevia, and I am also using Fair Life 2% milk to cook it because it has more protein. But I still have to have some cottage cheese or Fage with fruit on the side or I will very hungry in a couple of hours.1

Depends what you add to it. Lately I have been craving savory oatmeal with cheese, sausage crumbles and some sauteed vegetables and some salsa and avocado at times. I also like it with crunchy peanut butter and bananas.2

I’m a daily oatmeal eater too,it’s too good and has so many variations you can have with it that it makes it hard to go a day with out it haha!3

Weekdays my breakfast is:
45g steel cut oats
10g shredded coconut
10g flax seed
150g greek yoghurt
20g protein powder (pure whey protein. no taste, no nothing)
120g of whatever fruit is available
I eat at around 5:30 am. Not hungry again until after 12...
So yeah, count me into the daily oatmeal eaters. Since neither my brain nor my taste buds are normally awake that early, no one cares what the food tastes like (but it does taste yummy ) and my stomach and intestines are happy and busy for a few hours.5 -
I eat it almost daily :P I like soaking it overnight - usually in milk, sometimes yogurt, and maybe add a bit of fruit and protein powder to it2

I go through phases where I do (including lately), but then I get bored with it and change my breakfast. I seem to eat the same thing for breakfast for a few months and then change.
I get it, though. Oatmeal is a total comfort food for me and something I crave when sick (I'm finicky about texture and only really like steel cut, though, although I can do any kind and it's a nice staple when traveling since most hotel breakfasts seem to have it).1 -
+1 sometimes I even have it for dinner. Top tip: put the bananas in before cooking rather than after and they get even sweeter and dissolve into it2
-
I eat it mainly on heavy workout days. I love the steel cut. I add some almond milk, banana and nuts. I’m full and it gets me through the morning.1
-
I've had the same breakfast almost daily (although slightly different toppings) for over 2 years. I think I ought to change it up, but I don't like anything other than oats for breakfast. The only times I don't have oats, is when I don't have breakfast, which isn't that often. I need something with protein though as I don't have lunch, so my protein comes mostly from dinner.1
-
My standard dinner is: 5 egg whites,1egg,2 oz ham,1 oz of shredded cheese,1/2 cup of oats microwaved,1/4 cup of raisins,2 teaspoon of brown sugar and 1/3 cup of powdered milk.If i dont have the calories I will lose the ham, cheese or raisins but eggs and oatmeal is a daily thing.I could never get sick of oatmeal.2

Is oatmeal the same as porridge? If so then I have this every single day for breakfast made with half milk, half water and a sprinkle of mixed spices. If I'm really pushed for time I eat shredded wheat instead but nothing is more comforting than a hot bowl of porridge!1

Keep eating then, if you like it and it fits with your calories, then go ahead...I don't see how one food though can give you results though. I don't understand what you mean by that, because if it's physical changes or strength improvements, I don't see how just oatmeal can do that.0 -
another daily eater here too! I discovered steel cut oats a few months ago and I LOVE them! I put the ingredients (oats, water, cinnamon, and sometimes chopped apple) in my instant pot before I go to bed and set the timer, and they're hot and ready when I get up in the morning! sooo yummy!2

I do understand what you're saying but if certain foods help with compliance and her obvious enthusiasm for her program, I think they have contributed in that way to her success.4
