NSV! What's Your NSV?!

NSV... my blood pressure has been high for several months now and I had to start taking blood pressure meds to regulate it. I checked my BP last Sunday afternoon without my BP meds (after losing 39 pounds in 4 weeks) and the right pic is the result! Praise the Lord! I checked it again today after not taking BP meds all week and it was 108/64! Unbelievable! God is so good!

That is so great, and a huge accomplishment! Bravo and I hope you can permanently get off the BP meds. Please be sure to communicate this to your doctor.
As far as me and my NSV, recently I am able to zip up my winter coat that barely fit me AND my rings are so loose now they're rolling under. I need to wait to get them resized so I'll use a device until I've reached my goal, but every time they slip under it makes me remember how tight they were on my fingers before6 -

That's awesome! Great job! My rings aren't too loose yet, but I'm looking forward to it!2 -
I got out of shower the other day and noticed that all my purple tiger stripes have turned white and are almost unnoticeable. I don't know how long it took me to notice that they were gone.8

I have nearly finished an entire bottle of vitamins. I am so bad at taking them and my doctor insist that I need them especially the calcium and D. One less thing for her to nag me about lol.4

Ran and finished my first marathon yesterday in 3 hours 45 minutes. Just for reference where I came from I included a photo of me before I started weight loss and running and a current pic after the race.

That's awesome! I love doing races! I did 2 half marathons back in 2012 ands I'm trying so hard to get back in that condition. I have a 5k coming up in July and a 10k at the air force base in September. Then planning to do a half marathon next Spring. Your post made me feel excited inside! Thank you for sharing your story and pictures!4 -
NSV are what keep me going! Recently, I’ve been doing couch to 5k the three days a week it reccommends on top of 5x a week 20-40 minute workout sessions. And the fact I have never been able to run and I’m about to wrap up week 4 of 8 and haven’t stopped jogging early once!! Every day I finish I am just so proud and accomplished feeling. And I always do the 5k app after a workout!
Also, when my eyes decieve me. I’ll look at clothes that are my current new size and be like what am I doing this is way too small, then they fit perfectly. And almost all of the clothes I already own that look like I would still fit into (in my head) fall off of me when I put them on13 -
I have a lot more energy during the day and sleep better at night.9

Finished my 1st 5k this morning in 35:27. 59 years old.18

This morning after breakfast I noticed how stunning the sunrise was. I usually notice this, so that wasn't unusual, but instead of just admiring it from the window I had the energy to get dressed, throw on a coat, and take a brisk walk out to see it from outside. I was only out for about 5 minutes, but it felt great, and I didn't have that sort of energy a few months ago.12

I suppose just my general sense of well being, I just feel younger in body now that my BMI is near the " overweight" range.7

I'm coming up on 55, so reading things like this helps my morale. Thanks @tammierlewis !4 -
Brought a pair of medium leggings last week. I thought they’d be way to little. Nope! They fit just right!7

You look a decade younger. Wow3 -
Accidentally grabbed my "too small because I got fat" jeans yesterday and had them zipped up before I realized they were the "wrong" ones.11

Walked past the mirror this morning and noticed my stomach was flatter. And I had to tighten my belt a notch past what I normally wear. It's time for a new, smaller belt now!5

I noticed some "woos" in other posts that I don't think are actual woo. Maybe the posters mean woo-hoo (like an encouragement?)4 -

I hope you're right! It's better to be positive. (I made the mistake of posting in a thread about how often I eat. Was brutally abused and had a couple people find other posts I'd made and mock me for them, so I'm a little sensitive)4 -
Kind of a weird one. But for most of my life if I was seated near a mirror or glass to see my reflection at a restaurant, it would ruin my meal...sometimes even my DAY. I just didn't like seeing myself and especially my body seated. Today we were in a Korean restaurant and the whole wall was mirrored and I didn't mind at all. I know what I look like, and I am not bothered by my reflection anymore. I know I have saggy bits and am not perfect, but it's a LONG way from when I would feel disgusted looking at myself.12

I'll admit I woo-ed forever thinking it was a celebratory thing. On a PC the emoji looks kinda happy.
My NSV for today is feeling like crap and depressed all day, just wanting to give up and I didn't. Stared at a box full of easter candy for about 3 minutes straight and then walked away from it. Logged 100 cals under my goal today.8 -
I find it easier to get up in the mornings. I used to fall back to sleep on my mornings off and have no energy all day. Now, once I'm awake, that's it for the day and a lot more energetic too.4

Oh my goodness... I "Woo" people often... Totally meaning it as WooHoo!! You gotta love when people tell you how YOU should lose weight. We all have to find what works for our own bodies and go with it! Do your thing! And good luck!3 -
My NSV is I didn't overdue on Easter. I was even slightly under my calorie limit. Even scaled way back on getting candy for the grandkids.2
