Heigh, weight, measurements...what are yours?

Yesterday was the first time i measured myself. In the last 6 months i lost 30 pounds all together and all my clothes fits my baggy. I get compliments about my weighloss from coworkers.
But i have never measured myself to really check my progress.
I started out at 186 pounds.

So as of yesterday these were my stats;
Height 5'5"
Weight 156
Bust 36
Waist 33
Hips 39.5
Thighs 23
I guess my bf% must be in tbe 30s...:(
I am still overweight and my goal weight is 150...as of right now.
But i never thought my measurments would be this "big".
I had in my mind i was at a 28" waist..lol.
33" sounds wide to me.
Anyway, now i know to track my measurments too. Better late than never..

Thank you all!

    I'm between 5'2-5'3
I take all measurements in cm though, we don't really use inches where I live (I do it for height/weight online because it's often convenient)

    bust: 83.5cm
    waist: 70cm
    hips: 103.5cm
    thigh: around 57cm

at my smallest (around 105lbs) I had a 75cm bust, a 57cm waist, and 87cm hips... not aiming that low this time, but kinda halfway between what I'm now and my smallest

at my biggest I was about 205lbs.. no clue what my measurements were but I was a good 5 dress sizes bigger than I am at the moment

Congrats on taking this step, but I'm puzzled as to how you didn't at least know your waist measurement. For us males, our pants size is waist measurement (trousers if you're British). I'm assuming you're female, as you mention Bust size.

For me, the three default measurements tracked on MFP currently stand at
    Neck - 15
    Waist - 35.5
    Hips - 37

    Height - 5' 10"
    Weight - 166

Never checked Thighs before, but that's 21.5

    30 doesn't mean 30 inch waist anymore.

If it ever did...I don't really know, I don't measure myself anymore. I'm in size 7-8 at 140, 5'7" - sometimes a 6, sometimes 10s, so there is really no standard with clothing.

women's clothing sizes can be so weird anyway... I can go to a store and fit into EU 38 clothes... then grab a different pair of jeans/jacket etc, even in the same store, and fit into a size 40 or even 42... (mind you the EU40-42 makes more sense, considering my hips)

Well, at the same time, I could ask how you could think that your waist is the equivalent of a UK size 12, when you're 6-7 pounds overweight. How would that make sense?

Vanity sizing is a thing. It's also possible that you're wearing your jeans tighter than most people would, and having a muffin top to go along with it.

I'm 6-7 pounds "overweight" and a size 6 in jeans. Body composition.

Fair point. I guess I'm just sitting over here doing a head desk at "I never thought my measurements would be this big" when someone also knows that they're overweight with 30% BF.

And, looking at your stats... 5'4" "normal" BMI goes up to a weight of 145. So no, you're 2 pounds, not 6-7 pounds over.

Yeah, new to measuring...I can see it. I'm still surprised at my thigh measurement sometimes lol.

    Levis 501 is a 30 or 31.
    "Seven for all mankind" 31
"Miss Me jeans" 30 or 31

I don't know about UK, but these are the sizes i buy in The States. :)

Sorry -- don't know where I plucked UK from!

But still. At a 30 or 31, that's putting your waist at a 31.25 or a 32.75 according to Levi -- so, considering ease, etc., not at all a surprise that your waist is a 33: https://www.levi.com/US/en_US/cms/sizeguide

    Seven for all Mankind 31 -- 30.25: https://www.7forallmankind.com/help

    Miss Me 31 -- 31 inches: https://www.missme.com/pages/womens-jeans-size-guide

I don't know how you thought that you were a 28" inch waist, is all. You're not buying 28 jeans, so I don't understand how you would have thought your waist was a 28.

I just took mine yesterday to track progress. I wear an 8 across the board whether it's my shorts from REI or designer jeans. I know that Old Navy has vanity sizing for sure, I'm sure I could wear a 4 or something from there but haven't tried in a while. I think I'm 11 pounds overweight. I started at 195lbs.

I am 4’11” and still a bit round. I measure two spots on my waist as my stomach still dips noticeably inward at the belly button. So I measur at it for the smaller part Of waist and just above to so can check progress. Used to weigh over 200 with much bigger measurements.

    Weight 134
    Waist at smaller point 35.5
    Above 36.5
    Hips 37
    Bust 35

Pant size around an 8 with some variances. My work scrubs are small and get snug a tad at times and yet often end up having to pull them up. Getting to the point of using the 5th hole on lifting belt instead of the 4th. Slowly going in desired direction.

yeah US sizing doesnt work that way in most brands for women. im a 12 in the jeans i normally wear. some brands im a 10. some a 14. yeah. go figure a waist size for that.

and vanity sizing exits for men too, just so ya know.
