Hey so I’ve been going to the gym for about 8 weeks now & wondering what equipment will help me loose fat around my belly and legs..I seen to spend a lot of time on the treadmill or the cross trainer. I still can’t seem to run on the treadmill for longer than 2 mins so I find my self walking fast for 2 mins then running for 2 mins i done this today for an hr and burnt 400 calories. I thought after a while it would start to get a little bit easier but I’m still sooo unfit

There is no specific equipment to help lose body fat. There is no way to spot reduce fat.
Losing body fat comes down to consuming fewer calories than your body uses. That can be done with reduced intake, increased output, or a combo of both as long as you get a deficit. You need a deficit consistently over a long period of time. You need patience and persistence.5 -

Eating fewer calories than your body requires to maintain your current weight.1 -

Your body uses a certain number of calories for weight loss, depending on your physical stats and activity level. Eating LESS than that number means you're eating at a deficit and should lose weight.
Have you plugged your information into MFP and let it give you a calorie goal? Are you tracking how much you eat at all?1 -
Yeah I am tracking all my food. so I started off 13 stone 12lb and I have lost 18 pounds I’m just over 8 weeks so I know I am loosing weight I’m just not sure what’s the best equipment to use at the gym.0

The gym equipment choices don't matter particularly. If you use different ones you work different muscles so you get better all-around fitness and flexibility etc.
No machine will make you lose belly fat faster. It comes off all over your body.0 -
As I was saying before I can’t seem to run longer than 2 mins before I get out of breath lol. So I have to walk 2 mins and then run 2 mins. I probably look so stupid as other people who are on the treadmill can run for ages. But I know I’ve only been exercising for 8 weeks so hopefully In time I will get better0

Ok thanks I was just wondering as that’s where I have the most fat ( around my belly )0 -
Yes, your general fitness will improve. If you want a running program, look up "Couch to 5K" it will help you ease up to be running a 5K in nine weeks and protects against injury with a planned program to increase safely.1
