    I shower every morning - but No, all people do not have to shower every day to be clean.

    Like PP said - it totally depends.

    I used to shower other people as part of my job - frail older people in their own homes.
    They did not shower every day, usually 3 x week when someone came to help them - they did not smell

    About a year ago many people in my town did not shower for a day or two - 3 day electricity outage meant many had no hot water.
    Everyone did not suddenly smell.

    yes, people need to shower, bathe or at least wash well - but not everyone has to do it every day.


    Interestingly this question comes up from time to time on various forums I have been on - is only a matter of time before somebody self righteously declares those who don't do same as them to be smelly or unclean or similar. :s

    At least once a day. I spent two weeks in the mountains once with three other guys in an old army tent, I had one "bath" during that time which consisted of a half full, 16 oz, ice cold bottle of water. I was able to wash my hair and shave with 8 oz of water. I can tell you from experience that you get pretty gamey after two weeks, especially when you're hiking 10-15 miles a day over extremely rugged terrain. I, and my co-Horts, smelled so bad I threw my sleeping bag away. Hot water never felt so good once we got back to civilization. I'll stick to showering every day.

    I shower every morning Monday - Friday. I will use Dry shampoo on Saturdays, and then shower Sunday evening.

    Twice a day, 6 days a week. Only shower on my day off if I leave the house/work on a project.
