@brightresolve Thank you. I also like to look at the data. I intend to log FOREVER. If I can hold it off for 1 year I plan to apply to the National Weight Control Registry (www.nwcr.ws). It is very interesting.6

Name: Andy
Age: 59
Height: 5'8"
Total Weight lost: 60 lbs.
Time it took to lose: 7 months
How long in maintenance: 4 weeks
Maintenance weight range: at or below 164 lbs.
Drifting around 162, contemplating a very slow loss to the high 150s for a little more cushion and because a slight deficit is easier than trying to stay even. My maintenance amount seems lower than it should be. I walk over 10,000 steps most days for the last few weeks and over 5,000 for most days this year before that. It seems like I would require mare than 2000, but it doesn't appear that I do.5 -
@Gutcutter500 Way to go on the 5K run!

Success/struggles of the week: i can't seem to shake off a couple of extra pounds from the week before. I mean, there's too much temptation starting with dinner choices, then too many options for after dinner snacks that i can't/ won't turn down. Repeating that for a week, even with some exercise, and that's the results i get. All logical. Add to that a long weekend of eating out, and generally overdoing it with no time and energy to exercise. Oh well. Going to rinse it off and attempt a better next week, with just a bit more self control.7 -

Success/struggles of the week:
I only tracked for about one day last week and then did not track and had more starches and sweets than usual, due to stress, I'd say. I didn't get much exercise and was been quite sedentary.
Successes:
I got 8500 steps in on one work day without effort or thinking about it.
And I got two 10,000 steps days: last Monday, and yesterday.
I would have thought I'd have gained but at least I didn't.
I really need to get more exercise and eat more veggies and less starch, regardless of weight.
Wishing a good week to all.

Success/ struggles: Overall, my eating has been less disorganized. I’m eating a bit over my calorie budget most days, but I’m still in my weight range — for now. As the weather improves and I exercise more, I don’t think the extra calories will be a big issue. I’d rather eat slightly heavier meals than snack between meals (really hard for me to stop snacking). Unfortunately, I’m not staying on-plan as much as I would like; it has been difficult to find the time to plan and prep meals for myself lately.

Successes of the week: Worked out. Got steps. Binges were fairly small, and even managed to cut one off before it got worse.
Challenges of the week: Still scrambling to find money to pay taxes. Very expensive 6yo fridge died, so there’s another bill. Anxiety is just loving this. Spent my week trudging and munching and dealing with acid reflux. Silver lining, groceries have kept nicely in the cooler on the front porch. Phew!

@CoachJen71 - you are so incredible. Despite the craziness, you are here week after week fighting the good fight. My life doesn’t have nearly the same level of stress and I find myself thinking of you and how successful you are when I want to go off the rails. You are inspiring. Keep being awesome. ((Hug))1

Successes/struggles of the week: I started using Happy Scale again on April 1st. Feels like just the right amount of accountability to go with my mindful eating approach. Glad I gave mindful eating a try and kept with it instead of diving for cover when I was failing so hard at it at first.
You all keep me inspired. Thanks for your continuing support and for helping me understand that I’m not in this alone. We all have the same goal - to be healthy; there are a million ways to get there and a billion struggles to overcome... but we all have to be detectives to figure out the optimal approach solo. It’s a group journey and yet an independent journey at the same time...
Have a good week everyone!7 -

Week of 6 April: 114.75
Week of 13 April: 114.75 again!
Successes/struggles of the week: Had a weird spike mid week which sent me a bit wobbly. I was still within range but I still hate seeing the scale go up! Need to just calm down because obviously things all even out and I’ve landed back on exactly the same weight as last week. Otherwise I have been a bit hampered on activity by being off work and by the arrival of a kitten to our family! Pretty housebound so glad I’ve managed to keep up the workouts at home.
Have a good week all5 -

Successes/Struggles yeah, that is a weight drop but given I’m on another antibiotic course and was on minimal & soft only food most of this week after oral surgery - it is not a huge surprise. On the plus side - Braums milkshakes are Yummy. On the downside a single large Braums milkshake would exceed my daily calorie allotment! But given that a small one is about the only thing I ate Tuesday all was ok.
I’d be very happy to change my maintenance range to top out at 145 - but I’m not gonna lower my maintenance eating calories- my allotment is too low as it is. 145 is basically the normal/overweight line for a female my height but my other measurements are solidly normal (w:h ratios). So whatever happens ( as long as it happens UNDER 150 lb) happens.5 -

Success/struggles of the week:The last two days have not been good eating and drinking wise. I went to fundraisers with free food and drinks flowing and I partaken in it all. I do know the reason why as I've been exhausted from work and not sleeping and gave into my feelings. One good thing the old me would have just said you failed so just keep eating. The new me tells myself yep you messed time just get back on the bandwagon4 -

Bouncing back and forth between 160 and 162. I am ignoring enough exercise (not logging it) that it seems like I would have a slight downward trend over the last few weeks that hasn't happened. My maintenance calories must be lower than I think; I have it set to 1800. May try 1600 and logging exercise.2 -

Name: Dalon
Age: 36
Weight lost 220+
Time: 2 years
Maintenance: 8 months
Goal: Still working on that! Lol
Weight trending 177.0-177.9
Weight this am: 176.2
Success: Still moving forward. Still on 14/10 seems to be getting easier. Trying to be more flexible. Learning that if I miss a workout or cardio goal, it's not the end of the world. Being cosistant is what matters.
Struggles: Still worried about fat gain. Fixation on weight gain. Over vigilant I guess.
Shout out to coachjen. Still kicking "kitten" and taking names! Keep up the fight! Makes me happy to hear you suceeding!4
