I like how I feel when I don't eat like crap.1

What do yo mean by slipping off the diet?
I stay focused by eating foods I like in quantities that fit my weekly calories.1 -
I fit "treats" regularly into my calorie allowance and that helps keep me going.1

In what way are you slipping? Not hitting calorie targets? Certain foods?
This is often a problem when people try to do everything all at once and make radical changes to their diet and other behavior. The evolution of one's diet and activity is a process. I focused on just hitting my calorie targets and from there setting small goals...most of which were what could I add to my diet to make it more nutritious rather than cut out this that and the other. As I started filling my diet with more nutritionally sound choices, certain things just fell by the wayside naturally on their own. Other things I ultimately determined weren't worth the calorie hit.
This is also often an issue when someone has a very myopic view of nutrition...people often think if it tastes good, it must not be good for you. Nutritious can also be very delicious and a lot of it comes down to good home cooking.4 -
Have you chosen a reasonable goal?
Have you made specific mini goals (ie, eat 5 fruit and veg a day)
Are you eating the kinds of foods that satisfy you?0 -
I stayed on plan by making the plan super easy to stay on. I ate what I liked, just different portions and proportions.
If I had a day where I still went off the rails, I just shrugged my shoulders and got back on plan immediately, because what's important is what you do on most days, not just this one.
I also chose a reasonable weekly goal, rather than trying to lose all the weight as fast as possible.
Hope that helps!1 -
I accept it as part of the process of moving forward in treating my body differently. I've beat myself up in the past for eating "bad" food or drink, and that alone discouraged from dusting myself off (for me that's acknowledging I ate or drank something that I leads me to feel like I failed) and moving on.0

You will mess up but just pick right back up and try again!0

it's my 126th day of actually sticking to a healthy protein filled diet, and there are some awesome recipes that you can make as "Treats" with protein powder. I lost about 13 pounds so far, just trying to maintain a lean physique and higher muscle mass because after i got hit off my motorcycle two years ago and fractured my femur/tibia/fibula now i have 2 intramedullary rods (one going through the hip into femur and one through the knee into the tibia) and 10 screws but everyday i basically i use my training of kick boxing/mauy thai and workout on a heavybag for about 30-60 minutes and then again 25-30 minutes walking at night. The surgery they removed around 1.5kg muscle mass out of my leg around the femur side so it's noticeably smaller so my goals are to gain back the muscle i lost and a little more to make it stronger in the long run. The real enemy is Soda/junk food/Sugar/Soy(because of GMO). I stretch the weight loss to maintain muscle mass and get rid of extra skin if there is any from inactivity from when i could not walk, the goal is to lose the weight and the skin, with a fast pace diet it will lead you with extra loose skin that you did not want or need. you need around 1 gram per pound of body weight for women and for men 1 gram-2 grams of protein per pound of muscle to maintain normal muscle mass in order to lose weight.3
