I'm curious...what was the place that serves this 1500 calorie meal? That is so crazy :#

You can get to 1500 at just about any typical breakfast diner/fast food restaurant without too much trouble.

and that is why I don't go there! Plus I actually would enjoy a home cooked meal over those 'typical' places anyhow...healthier and WAY less calories that would be for sure!

When I am ready for one of "those" kinds of breakfasts meals I am not interested in healthier or way less calories. Home or not it will have plenty of caloric deliciousness. I will simply plan ahead and deal with it. I am never again going to be scared of extra calories in a single day and if I can offset them some, so much the better.

Restaurant meals sneak the calories in - I often have a Sat AM breakfast at a local diner - would be very easy for me to eat a day's worth of calories with any number of entrees. But as others have said, doing it every now and again probably won't set you back too much. I have to adjust my regular diner order to, for example, egg whites & turkey bacon if I am going to have a short stack pancake order with it, and still that 650 calories usually counted as lunch too.

If you think back, you might find a common thread to what you are calling "binge eating." Huge appetite after workouts +/- "I deserve a feast because I worked hard" is something a lot of folks experience. Whatever your precursors to over-big meals are, see if you can plan ahead. And as others have mentioned, being properly fueled in the first place can help!
