Hi my name is Ben and I am new to this site. I tore my meniscus a while back and gained so much weight that I began to look like trainwreck. So I threw myself into my work of being an independent film-maker and gained even more weight. Now I am on here trying to go from 230 to 178 lbs.

I'm new here. I had gained 4 lbs last Summer due to ice cream & BBQ. I totally take responsibility for those. :) Then at the end of August, I contracted Mycoplasma Pneumonia. I had to have several rounds of steroids, injections, and antibiotics. I also couldn't move around much. I gained 10 more pounds. I lost 5 lbs after recovering. Then I tried a diet that includes eating 6 small meals a day with a workout plan. I did it diligently for 2 weeks and I gained...the 5 lbs. back! So...I heard about MyFitness Pal and decided to try it. I'm counting calories and working out. I'm down 6lbs. in 10 days! Since I just started, I'm looking for friends! Add me!

Congrats on your weight loss. That is awesome!

Change things up by buying a food scale, weighing everything, and logging it all. It's amazing!
