I was wondering if other people has had the same side effects as I did when i consumed pre-workout for the first time.
What I experienced after consuming it was rapid heartbeat, dizziness, shortness of breath, tingling/numbness in the face, lips, hands and feet and jitters.
I dont know if this is because of me or the pre-workout. Could someone tell me why this happened and why and if anyone experienced somethinf familiar.
Thanks in advance.

That sounds like what the ingredients in preworkouts do. (tingling is usually from beta alanine, jitters and heart rate may be caffeine related.... You could look up the specific ingredients individually for the affects of each)
You might be more sensitive to them than normal - try lowering your dose.1 -
Really? Because after I consumed it I couldn't even finish my workout. Instead of being more energetic like I thought it was supposed to, it did the opposite and left me completely weak.0

next time just have a cup of coffee if you need a boost!

how much caffeine do you usually consume ..... normally in a PWO if you use 2 scoops you will get about 300mg of caffeine .. thats like downing 4 espressos0

I'm the exact same after taking pre workout! Try having a strong black coffee half an hour before you train. Works 10 times as better it's a must for me now. (By strong I mean a heaped tablespoon)0 -
The brand of the pre-workout is called Muscle Metabolix SPR HMN. Does anyone know this brand of pre-workout or its history?0

Every brand has a different make up and while some may give you side effects, others may not. Make sure you DRINK plenty of WATER! Being hydrated is huge!! I don't witness the side effects you are speaking of and I have tried multiple Pre-Workout brands... the only thing I sometimes experience is that I get warm, but that doesn't last long once my heart rate goes up with exercise. My husband and son have mentioned the tingling before... I know I have heard of others say it is normal too. Like a previous poster said... you may want to use less or maybe even try a different brand.0
