So have it. Either adjust the rest of your day to make it fit, or accept it as a one-off day and go back to regular schedule tomorrow.6

You can have whatever you want within your calorie allowance. When I want something that I know is likely to push me over, I eat a little under for a few days before and then eat what I want on the day of the pizza (or whatever it may be). I look at my weekly average more than my daily total. Enjoy!2

Why do you think you can't?2

Have it. I have pizza almost every week and it’s the only national chain I’ll eat.0

Its just food. Fit it in your calories and stick to your deficit. Win Win!1 -
Use the papajohns.com calorie calculator to create 2 pieces of a large pizza which won't ruin everything. You can easily get something good for 600 calories. If that ruins everything, get 1 piece. If 300 calories ruins everything you're not hungry.
I pre-planned my dinner and it's pizza less than 600 calories.5 -

"everything" is probably too strong of a word, but one bad meal *might* ruin *some* of your progress. You'll have to see how the numbers work out.2 -

This is why so many people fail at weight loss.
None of us has to be "perfect" for the duration. We just need to be better a good % of the time. One of my favorite sayings (Chris Freytag).....Progress, not perfection.6 -

there's no such thing as a "bad" meal. Food is just food, there's no moral value attached to it. If you can fit it in your calories, go for it.
I don't think she believes the food will/has morally wronged her in some way.7 -
Maybe it's because I'm more naturally a big picture thinker, but I'll never understand how people can get by drowning in the minutia of a singular meal.
That said, if it were me, I'd go for better pizza.
OP...we have pizza most Friday evenings for pizza and movie night...it's one singular meal throughout an entire week of meals that for the most part are pretty healthful. In the context of the whole, it's not a big deal.6 -

Would you feel bad about eating bread and cheese at home? Why does it become bad when someone else prepares it for you? Eat it and move on. Nothing bad will happen unless you let it.2 -

OP, this won't be the first pizza or other enjoyable food you are going to want during weight loss or maintaining weight. Learn to fit in the things you love into your diet, think bigger picture. You can still eat plenty of nutrient dense foods and have a varied diet as well.2

You can have whatever you can fit, but my favorite pizza from there is the grilled chicken & veggie on thin crust- only 210 for a large slice0
-
it is not a bad meal. it's just not as healthy as some other options. and that's ok too
you can opt for healthier options like veggies or grilled chicken
and thin crust5 -
Mmm! I have just had Papa John's and it was delicious.
I had the Chicken Club thin crust (4 slices of a medium), a bit of garlic bread and a couple of chicken poppers.
I knew that we were ordering so I didn't eat a huge breakfast or lunch today and I have managed to just sneak in under my calorie goal3 -
Their nutrition calculator is great. Play with it and fit it into your calories.0
