My name is Melissa. I just started back with fitness pal. Struggling with losing the weight. I lift weights but trying to increase cardio. Trying to make this a life style change. But always struggling with the sweet tooth.

Weightloss happens whan you consistently eat less (and move more). Most people like sweet things. Why are you struggling?

My weight has just stopped moving. I can't seem to get it off. I am very active. Not sure what the problem is.

Eat in a calorific deficit around 500 calories less than you need to maintain your current weight, drink plenty of water 2-3lts a day. If you like lifting weights try CrossFit which really gets your cardio going.

When you have plenty of fat on your body, you can lose weight by small changes, and accuracy is not that important. As you lose weight, your maximum weightloss rate will slow down, because the deficit you can create, gets smaller, so your margin of error gets narrower too. A week's worth, or two, of healthy fat loss, can easily be masked by natural, and normal, daily water weight fluctuations. You may need to reset your weightloss goal, and/or tighten up your food logging.

If you've just introduced new exercise, your muscles may retain water for repair.

    You might be constipated.

Good luck! I’m in the same boat. I want to lose weight, but gain muscle, so my weight just fluctuates a few pounds each week.
Keep hammering away, and you’ll get to your goals
