Works in what way? Because your weight loss came from your calorie deficit, not from apple cider vinegar.16
-
How much do you have and do you add it to something?7

Okay @Prettybaby318 , be prepared for some sarcasm on the way.
If you are 6 pounds less than a week ago, why give to credit to something that positively had zero to do with it?
It's coincidence - nothing more.
[Edit to add: Your post didn't exactly say 6 pounds in a week, but I think that's what you meant. I should point out that if that was the case, it's probably a good portion water weight along with some fat. Still nothing to do with ACV]10 -

Nope I started at 287 I'm 279. Yesterday I was 28110 -
Apple cider vinegar does nothing for weight loss.14

2tbs. 1cup water, and raw honey. Sometimes fresh lemon juice.13 -

Still not the ACV. You lose weight by eating less energy than you burn. And at 285 pounds, I doubt very very much whether you wouldn't lose weight too fast if you really were only eating 1200 calories per day. The math just doesn't work...

I have some every day, but not for weight loss but I can't say for sure it doesn't help with that7

That's pretty impossible. 1200 is already extremely low for your weight, so if you weren't losing eating less than you weren't eating less.21 -
“Motivation” that requires agreeing with utterly impossible assertions isn’t really what we do here.
I’m glad the scale is moving for you, but no one here is obligated to pretend it’s the result of your magic drink after an improbably large caloric deficit failed to do what science says it does.26 -
Are you seriously pissed at people for point ting out that your weight loss is due to your overall program and effort, rather than some magic supplement?22

Here's how it works, @Prettybaby318 . When you mention apple cider vinegar and losing weight in the same OP, you'll get jumped all on. If instead you say, "I had ACV, 8 Snickers and lost a pound" you become acclaimed as a hero to all. Life. We can't understand it, and we can't wait to get to the candy.11

Let's ditch the math and go look up the word silent. Apparently you don't utilize that part in your screen name.I didn't ask you to be my dietitian. I said it works for me. Isn't this a forum for motivation. If you don't agree please by all means do so silently. I'm losing weight whether acv or God just tired of me being fat and uncomfortable. Let me have my moment. Good googly moogly...
I suppose you can have your moment and be uncivil if you wish. But "ditching the math" is part of the problem and here's why. The entire reason people gain or lose weight is math. The reason people bring this up is so that misinformation is not spread to those who lurk but don't post. I don't want to see people tying all their hopes up in ACV because of anecdotal coincidence. It's not fair to them to be misinformed!
Nothing I've said is personal to you. It's certainly not meant that way. In the simplest of possible terms, your body is like a machine. If you eat more than you burn, your body stores that energy in the form of fat. If you eat less than you burn, your body uses sources other than food to burn energy: either stored fat or muscle or both.
This applies to every living thing on the planet and nobody is immune to the simple math. When @malibu927 points out that you were not likely eating 1200 calories (or less), it's not a swipe at you, it's pretty much impossible to do. Take any online TDEE calculator you want and you won't find one that will support that kind of claim.
You don't need to get wrapped up in the math if you don't want to. But you should be trying to understand how this process works. And ACV has nothing to do with it. You won't find any credible scientific basis for it other than woo peddlers on the internet, who rely totally on anecdotal "evidence" and not science. Again you don't need to know science and math or even pay attention to it. But you don't have a choice as to whether it applies to you.
Lastly, I'm not your dietician. I don't pretend to be. If you lose 100 pounds all while doing ACV, you and only you should take credit for that. I hope you accomplish your goals. If you do, be proud of it. You'll deserve it. And ACV, even if you use it every single day during the process will not have anything to do with the weight loss.41 -
A perfect example of correlation not equaling causation.13

After reading this I think you should deffinitely stick with the ACV and prayer.14 -

The only thing drinking ACV will make you lose is your will to live.10
