I weigh in EVERY DAY without fail maybe about 3xs I am not disheartened too much when I see slight fluctuations...but as long as it isn't first thing in morning oh lawd. So to me it is of utmost importance.

I weigh in every normal day as well. Abnormal days are those following a disgusting binge when I'm too ashamed of myself to see the number. Since I have more normal than abnormal days, it's only important as an indicator of the size of clothes I need to wear. I've got some smaller shirts waiting for 180, and some smaller pants waiting for 170.10

Its not that important to me to see it every day, I just want to record it so my weight trending app can show me what my trend is over time.
I am going to weigh a lot more after I start eating and drinking for the day so I am not interested in seeing that.10 -
I track trends and I like to see them go in certain directions in line with my goals but the number itself I don't care much about.3

I used to care a lot but now I’m more interested is how my clothes fit and adding weight to my lifts4

right now very important as it is finally moving (in the right direction) after going the other way for a long time. I do weigh daily and probably will for a while.2

I'm afraid it's important to me. I know some people just see how their clothes fit, but I need to see the scale moving to stay motivated.10

I weigh myself right after my morning coffee Monday to Friday, as I'm getting in the shower then. On weekends, my routine is far more relaxed, and I may eat breakfast before my shower... Or not shower until after walking my dog, so my weigh ins can be any time during the day. Sometimes, I don't weigh in at all on the weekend. I'd like to say that I don't care about the number on the scale, but I do. I also care about my trend, so I try to focus on that.3

It used to be of extreme importance to me, but other considerations have crowded it out. I've got a couple of health conditions (hypothyroid and possible gout) that I'm focused on dealing with ATM. I'm more concerned about my exercise and these other things. I still keep track of my eating and make sure I'm not eating too much, but I'm not really focused on losing weight right now. That might change once I get accustomed to the changes I've had to make, but not quite yet.2

My goal was my upper limit and staying below it is very important to me. I weigh every other day and I have stayed below it over 6 weeks so far and haven't come within a couple of pounds of it in 3 or 4 weeks so I don't have anxiety every time I weigh, but the number is very important to me.2

It used to be important. Then my focus started to shift into what I was really trying to do (which is not always measured by the scale number): lose fat. Got a compliment today where someone told me my belly was completely gone over the past six months (that's not totally true, but it's definitely getting there). She noticed my initial loss back then, but today complimented me on my shape....
....
....
I'm ten pounds heavier than I was six months ago. I'll take the shape over the number thanks.5 -
Somewhat important. I've gotten way off track this last year with all of my planning and fledgling good habits, so starting to weigh myself daily is important for me to get back on track with holding myself accountable, being mindful of what I'm eating and doing, etc.
Upward fluctuations are always a little disappointing, but I've found that it gets easier. When you know it's normal you can remind yourself and keep focused on the overall trend and non-scale observations like how you feel or how your clothes fit. It becomes a normal part of the day, like the rest of the better habits, rather than a devastating blow.1 -
I care...kinda. More so about measurements for me3

I used to weigh every day and it wasn't very often that the scale went up as long as I was tracking religiously. However, seeing a .1 loss or no loss for a couple days was annoying. I started weighing in once a week instead so when there is a loss it is more than a piddly .1 or .2lbs.3

It was super important in the beginning, then I didn't care so much, as I was losing and happy. Now I am approaching maintenance and I find myself caring more again. I think it's because I've set a maintenance range for myself of +/-5 pounds. I'm determined to get to the bottom of the range before I begin maintaining. Today I hit the top of the range (yay!!). So I'm definitely thinking all numbers right now. I am hoping, and determined, that it won't matter as much once I settle in to maintenance and figure out my calories. Until then, I am afraid it's gonna be a big focus.3

I obsess over the number on the scale & get super down when it doesn't say what I want but I've been trying to remember not to focus only on the scale...my clothes fit better & I look healthier & that's what matters4

Keeping an eye on the number is what is important to me. If I’m not weighing it’s because I’m actively avoiding the scale and for me that’s playing with fire.7

Clothes and mirrors are unreliable, they can give you a distorted feedback. I rely on the scale, when I don’t weigh I don’t care and gain, so I rely heavily on the number on the scale, pun intended6

Very important to me.... I have to get under a certian number before I can be treated by a fertility specialist.... so yeah, it’s all about the number. I know daily fluctuations happen and I’m all good with that, as long as the trend is downwards!
I do love knowing that my clothes are fitting better too though!8 -
I care! I was weighing everyday, now I am only weighing on Thursdays and Sundays for two different MFP challenges. It is nice to be able to see bigger losses vs tiny everyday losses. I know I am sticking well within my calories and been to the gym at least 5X week.2

I weigh in every day too. The number itself is not important to me, but the trend is. It's actually the most important aspect of measuring my weight loss progress. That's where its importance ends, though. I don't use the scale to set my mood, measure my self-worth, or fixate on the minutia.8

It's fairly important to me as part of my morning routine after I wake up on my way to the loo I weigh myself then go to the loo and weigh myself again 3 times each time to make sure the number is the same. Lately it's been giving me the s**ts because that little s.o.b hasn't gone down in a while! and I recently moved my scales to a different spot and on that spot I weighed 4kgs less then in other spot i was 6kg heavier! so that did my head in a bit wondering how right/wrong the number is.
It's been doing my head in a far bit lately because when I look in the mirror I honestly think I look slimmer but the number on the scales hasn't changed, which annoys me because I'd like some kind of proof what I'm doing it actually working1 -

I moved mine to a sweet spot and my blinking husband keeps moving it!! Ha ha butt head0 -
Weighing myself every day is how I learn my body’s reactions and trends. I mean, I still get a bit spooked by my TOM-related water retention, but not as spooked as I’d be if I jumped on the scales once a week and was suddenly 5lb up!
I’ve learned, for example, that other than TOM issues my weight is freakishly stable (I once weighed the exact same amount, to the decimal point, for a week). Which is nice, because it means I’m largely seeing signal rather than noise, and get to celebrate every single pound loss2 -
Im currently trying to lose weight, so the number is pretty important to me. I try to not get discouraged when I gain, though. Im pretty aware of how my body's weight changes with how much I eat and drink. And when I do have an up, as long as I didnt splurge on calories, I usually know a big drop is coming. But if I did splurge, then the increased weight is my punishment for eating more than I should have. Keeps me motivated.0
-
it used to be important. Now it's a useful guideline.2
-
I weigh myself every few days, I don’t record what I’ve lost per week, as people get fixated on not losing the same each week, so I just weigh in 6 times a month and as long as the number is down slightly, I’m happy.0
-
I weigh every day. Some days it's just background info, some days it seems to take on huge importance and really shapes my mood for the day. I'm trying to have a bit more perspective about it all but do find that as I'm approaching maintenance I'm getting a bit freaked out. I know how to lose these 21 lbs (I've done it before!) - the part I really struggle with is not ending up back here again in another year or so.0

i weigh every day, log it once a week.
far more important are measurements, how clothes are fitting and non scale victories.2
