Sync FitBit & MFP?

Just today started with this. As I understand it Food data from either FB or MFP will synch the other. Anyone have an idea how often the synch occurs? Just added a mountain of chocolate to my FB Breakfast and waiting to see if it shows up in MFP.

    Exercise syncs both ways, but food only syncs from MFP to Fitbit

    I cannot sync fitbit to fitnesspal.. dont know what I am doing wrong..can anyone help me.. and what does MFP mean..
