Need help and or some advice Any advice !

Ok so i'm currently 5'5 and a little chubby and would love to start losing weight or gaining weight by building muscle but the thing is i am a beginner and i'm not sure what anything means when it comes to healthy eating and portion control any and all advice is helpful even if its a few recipes to get me started

You don't lose weight by building muscle. You lose weight by eating fewer calories than you burn. Developing muscle is great for fitness and exercise can help burn some calories. After some initial newbie gains, you won't gain muscle in a calorie deficit. But you can keepmost of what you have and that is better than losing muscle as you lose weight.
Plug you numbers in here, set a reasonable deficit and follow that for a month. Adjust based on results. Follow a proven well designed strength training program for fitness and muscle development.6 -
