trying to cut fat but keep gaining weight

started at 193 , been eating under 2000 calories a day, 30 mins of cardio and weight training every day, and gained 4 lbs in 2 weeks , trying to keep muscles and lose my belly, anyone have any idea why im gaining weight and not losing it , please help!!!

    How are measuring your "under 2000 calories"? I suggest using a food scale to measure your foods if you haven't already. Is this a new work out routine? If so, it could be water retention.

    If your exercise routine is new, you could be retaining water, it can sometimes take a couple of weeks for that to settle down.

    Otherwise you might need to tighten up your logging - double check the entries you are using in the database are correct, get more accurate measuring portions by using a food scale as often as possible, and do a gut check that you are logging everything: beverages, condiments, cooking oils, snacks, everything.

    Also keep in mind that weight loss isn't linear, even if you do everything perfect, there will be weeks you don't lose weight or even gain weight as the stuff in your body other than fat (usually water) naturally fluctuates.
