Pouring PB (almond butter) oil out...

As a person with severe Hypercholesterolemia (where ALL fat is an issue), I do pour out the oil depending on the use. For smoothies, drained PB or using PB2 are appropriate. My best trick...I microwave my drained PB to spread on toast. Microwaving for a few seconds is enough to loosen what oil is left. Spreads “like a charm”. I’ve tried the jar upside down and find it’s ok, but not great, especially if you like clean lids and keep your fresh/natural “butters” in the fridge. There’s nothing better then the REAL flavor of the nut on anything other then smoothies.

I kinda prefer PB2 in a lot of ways. I mix it with a dash of cinnamon, a splash of sugar-free caramel syrup and add unsweetened almond milk until it's the consistency I prefer. Then I spread it on toast, bagels, or eat it with sliced apples.
I'm not sure how I'd go about calculating the calories in 'oil-drained' nut butters, so PB2 works nicely for me.0
