Went through my bin of summer clothes last weekend and decided to be brave and try on the swim shorts I emergency bought last year because we were going to a water park and none of my swimming stuff fit anymore, and now they are so big I am swimming in them! (pun totally intended :P)33

Grabbed a pair of pajamas at the store yesterday - size large. I put them back and grabbed the XL "just in case." I was able to talk myself out of it and took the large again and moved on. Tried them on last night and they fit perfectly! My brain still hasn't caught up with my body, but I'm getting there!30

Today, I conquered the dragonpants inner circle, the size above the dragonpants. They're still a bit tight, but they aren't the jaws of death -- Which means I'm probably only 15 or so pounds from the dragonpants.
A surprising NSV because I hadn't intended on trying on the pants. On a whim last night, I was like "hey lets see" and boy was I surprised. A little snug, but not "I can't button you without squeezing my intestines out like a tube of toothpaste" tight.
Once I conquer the dragonpants, I will be in uncharted territory. I will be in the unclaimed hills of "The Final March to Goal Mountain". I will be 25-30 pounds to a healthy goal I have yet to achieve. Hot diggity, I can't even believe it!
Quite possibly, there is an even bigger, badder dragonpants to vanquish yet waiting for me!27 -
My old sexy skinny jeans are not sexy anymore... because they are too loose.35

I upped my bench by 10lbs! Also upped my deadlift by 10 too. I’m doing a happy dance—I haven’t moved on bench in forever!25

I received clothes for my birthday in a smaller size. I assumed I would have to wait a few weeks before wearing them, but they fit!30

My NSV is actually getting back onto MFP.
Lots of work stress over the past year and as a result I had abandoned some of my good habits! No more. Back to it.
Love this thread. Thanks everyone.

I bought a block of chocolate over two weeks ago. I was actually looking for the snack sized servings of my favourite dark chocolate but I couldn’t find them, so I decided to go with the whole block - and I was determined that I would eat the chocolate in snack sized servings but only when I could fit them into my calories.
I am so proud of myself - tonight there were 8 squares of chocolate left but I only had room for 6 squares to fit into my calories. Not only has the block lasted a couple of weeks, but I opened that packet, snapped off 6 squares and put the last two back in the pantry. I’ll enjoy them another day!
This is a huge milestone for me, having snack food in the house and being able to move on without spending my entire day thinking about it (then guzzling it all).
TLDR; a block of chocolate has lasted over two weeks and I’ve only eaten what would fit into my daily calories, nothing more.40 -

Love this! It is such an amazing feeling of control. Plus you then get to eat 'more' chocolate cos you are having some every day!11 -
I haven’t been doing my great with my eating or exercising the past couple weeks, so it was nice to go to the doctor’s office yesterday for a blood draw and have an NSV to remind me how far I’ve come.
The tech that takes the blood has what I call an adult high chair, it has this table that comes down across the front. That table would never lay flat closed because of my stomach. It always rested on my tummy and would be angled, and I’d try to force the table down as best I could with my arms.
Until yesterday! It was so cool to feel normal sized. I can’t wait until that happens with a seat-back table on a plane.29 -
As of today, I have logged every single bite of food I have had for 150 days!!!36

Love it! I always have a mini-NSV when I go to the dentist and they leave the arms down on the chair and I fit in there with room to spare. For years before losing weight, I went to a different dentist with the exact same kind of chair, and they would raise both arms for me automatically before I sat down because it was clear that I wasn't going to be comfortable with the armrests in down position.

I finally got to work out with my trainer last night for the first time in 2 months. We had to ease back in to things to an extent since I'm still recovering from surgery but I felt like we achieved a good balance. My favorite part was pushing his new sled around the parking lot and getting more and more weight added to it. It was nice to feel closer to my former badass self.25

Started this journey in March 2017 at 250 lbs. Original goal weight 175 lbs. Lost 47 pounds - then hit a plateau in November 2017. Took a diet break - spiked up to 215. Lost a few pounds and have been in a range from 209 to 202 from March 1st to today.
My non-scale victory - I'm not giving in to my frustration. I'm continuing my workouts and tracking my food. Because it's a marathon - not a sprint.26 -
Maybe TMI but I was able to buy smaller lingerie the other day makes me a happy...29

I pulled one of my "fat shirts" out of the drawer this morning. Ya know the ones that are just a bit too small and accentuate all the wrong things? It fits. It blends with the chub instead of accenting the chub. This morning was a WIN. lol.29

I’m sitting on a chair at an outdoor table where I last sat in October. Without a pad it’s hurting my less-ample butt.
And packing for a trip next week, I’ve discovered I can wear things I outgrew two years ago. #closetshopping20 -
I’ve lost 5” off my hips and I feel hard seats now too. We attended a concert over last weekend and the chairs were most uncomfortable. lol21

Regarding clothes, actually my too large dress s look fine on my slimmer body - with a belt! Haven't worn one for 20 years

I bought two really cute summer tops on clearance last year, a size too small on purpose, and I'm wearing one today and it fits really well!16

The hard seat thing is kind of a mixed blessing; it's nice to notice but my kitchen chairs are a literal PITA.
Another mixed one is that my summer slip on shoes sound like flip flops because I have even lost some fat off my feet. Not enough to move down a size or anything, but shoes that stretch from wearing are slightly too big. I hadn't noticed with winter laced shoes.
Dumbbells and SUP paddling have restored my chest and shoulder muscles.
The SUP paddling is something I started doing recently and often paddle with local groups and have met a lot of people recently. It's kind of cool to have people tell me I am lucky to be small because it is easier to balance and smaller boards are more stable for me. I don't tell them it was hard work and I used to be chunky. I like being treated like someone who is health conscious. OTOH, I have heard some snide remarks about people who are overweight from other trim people.16 -

I recently ordered a new pair of sneakers online. Checked the fit of the old shoes - really loose - even considering the stretching from wear. Order a half-size smaller and they fit like a glove. Seems that fat disappears all over the body when you lose weight.

I bought chair cushions for my kitchen chairs for just this reason! Bonus, they gave my kitchen a much needed update.12 -
I tried on about 30 items of clothing today in sizes 12 and Large and it was all too big and looked kind of bad and weird on me. The bad part of this is that I can't always fit into 10s (maybe 2/3 of the time) and some Medium stuff is cut wrong for me (too short, too tight in bust). But I still feel like this is a NSV for me in the long run and it's motivating me to step it up a little bit more and hopefully fit into the majority of the smaller size down.
And honestly it's always an NSV because for most of my adult life I wore 22/24 and larger.36 -
I went outside today wearing shorts and a form fitting tank top and didn't look horrible. I actually looked OK!26

Mine is a small success, as I've just hit one week on WW Freestyle. I won't weigh until Sunday morning and I'm pretty sure any loss at this point is just water weight. However, I feel less bloated and puffy. Also, I have not felt hungry. I am finding plenty to eat. It will no doubt get repetitive, but I'm OK with that.14

The bottom of my fridge has two drawers. A big chunky one where I keep raw meat and raw processed meaty things like chicken kieves etc. The other drawer is a lot smaller, half the size and has salad, fruit etc. Over the past few weeks the salad drawer has not been big enough and when putting the shopping away this week I swapped them round. We eat so much less processed food and meat and so much more fruit, salad and veggies. It's a little thing but it feels good to see the positive changes being made.33

Airport TSA security guy asks me if I’m the same person in my photo ID. Because of my weight loss. Put a smile on my face.26
